All this treatment at the hands of the "law" is doing is solidifying the opinion among many of "the people", that we are justified in being SERIOUS about forcibly removing & resisting this gov't. They just don't go to rallies or protests; don't rant day in/day out; don't harass anyone... they just quietly make up their minds and get to work.

Figured I'd better say that, before we can't voice our feelings and opinions anymore.

I pay really close attention to the arrests.
They MIGHT be at a couple a week. some weeks. maybe.

Last month, they got a couple more from the town I live in.
Holy crap, did that many really go in or are they just grabbing anyone that was in the area now?
At that rate they will be moving to any rightie that watched the live coverage.

Well, since I had a first hand look at the inside of the Rotunda, I estimated at the time that 5-6,000 people were in the building. And that was in the first hour or so I was in the area. It was really crowded in there. The people that are being arrested is ANYONE that is active on social media. It is all about the message that "We can go after anyone we want." My hacker son looked me up on line, and still no presence. Just the way I like it.

I.e. Anyone who is an "influencer."

As in - you render an opinion - and in the process of rendering, convert scads others to the SAME opinion.

Too bad they don't realize that the arrest, prosecution CONFIRMS that opinion. Until the arrest, an opinion is just an opinion. And like bodily orifices, everyone has one.

Do you suppose it is "ego" that drives their suppressing non-conforming opinions?

"How dare you have an opinion different that mine?"

Or is it more than that?

Like they have in mind non only suppressing your opinion - but you too?

Bannon says it. THEY HATE YOU AND EVERY THING YOU STAND FOR.

And we are all Spartacus now - or his horse.

I wonder how many are going to try and have their guilty plea overturned with that latest video of an undercover agent encouraging people to go into the capitol?

I wonder how they'll know that video even exists since, last I knew, many of them were still being refused legal counsel.

According to MTG (Yesterday's Bannon Battleground) they're still arresting about one new protester a day.

Government must be running real shy of money. Because you know all the fines and fees and what not getting added onto that is going to do nothing but to go into some kind of slush fund.

Call me a dreamer. I’m looking forward to all the pardoned and released J6’ers sitting in the front at President Trump’s inauguration.

Not holding my breath but the judiciary committee hearings on all of this should make the Watergate Hearings look like the two bit burglary it was about.

Way back in 1970s the folks I know who were protesting nuclear weapons and nuclear power were trained in non violent civil disobedience.

Their lawyers had the protesters plead nolo contendre and never guilty.

The reasoning was to accept responsibility for misdemeanor trespass and to prevent being sued in civil court.

Guilty pleas were a scam. People were promised by lawyers that they would lose if they fought but would be treated fairly if they pled guilty. We know someone who had a shithead "public defender". Wish I had some money to get him a real lawyer.

BREAKING: Supreme Court may throw out hundreds of January 6 convictions.

An appeal from Joseph Fischer argues that the wording in the law used to charge hundreds of protesters and Donald Trump was not intended to be used in the way the federal prosecutors are using it.

A decision in favor of Fischer would not only dismiss this charge from his prosecution but overturn convictions or dismiss the same charge against 330 other January 6 participants, including Trump.

One of the problems with public defenders is they are officers of the court and so are all lawyer on the public payroll.
There are rules all lawyers and judges must follow but today that may be brushed aside for an agenda and meetings with both lawyers and the judge can happen and the accused will not know anything about it. Thats call a kangaroo court where it's rigged to find someone guilty.

ALL lawyers who practice are officers of the court.
