Excellent News! I got the Job!

I've been meaning to post since Monday, but I've been rather busy. I was hired on the spot during my second interview and have been working there since.

I work for http://www.policeone.com/
The website is designed for Law Enforcement personnel. As a civilian, you can register, but you can't access some of the more sensitive areas of the website.

My job is to create an alert system which will keep Law Enforcement up to date on:
-the latest breaking information that may impact officer safety
-the latest terrorism threats
-major crime stories and other stuff...

I imagine that I will have access to information that is not available through normal channels which I won't be able to share, but I'll try and keep you all posted if I hear the world is about to end.

.....Congratulations!!! It always good to hear good news from someone on board; Father knows we hear enough bad news... It's also great to know we have another "inside source" for the occaisional heads-up... Happy for you...

Wonderful news. And it has to be one of the most interesting jobs that a person could have. I am sure there will be info that you cannot talk about. Maybe we need a code. LOL Like #1 means hit the dirt, incoming missles #2 Small pox afoot, etc. Keep us posted, I am so pleased for you. In this day and age, one is lucky to have a job, period. But to have one that is interesting is really great. There is nothing worse than having to spend your days at a job that you hate.

So happy for you. Just heard yesterday of yet another old friend who got laid off ( 7 kids!) . A job is a great blessing.

Mr. Larry, in all seriousness, congrats on the job. BTW, I get PM's all the time from members who want to give a "heads up" but can't post information directly. You know, for things like a possible EAS alert?

Congratulations, Larry. And since it's your job to be on the alert for things that impact officer safety, here's a tip: watch out for female U.S. Senators in limos.

I used to be able to just go to the APB.com website and click into their Live police scanners on line and get Seattle pd as I surfed the net...for free!!:D

But APB went belly up and I'm looking for another website that has live on-line police scanners for Seattle...I have found sooo many other city PD's that you can listen to live on line...but not Seattle?

I will post some websites for Timebomb that we can listen to on line for free....it is very interesting -especially if you hear some sort of heads up from your local PD! ...The closest I can find to me on line is Olympia PD?....I want Seattle.....:(

Until then.......I have Mr. Larry!!:D
