I have been out running errands this morning and it seems that there is disappointment among some that things are going so smoothly today. I heard comments that the election is "pre-determined" , "rigged" and "stolen from the people", etc ad nauseum.
Some voters seemed to have expected to see dissention, tension, and actual fist fights when they went to vote.
Others expected to wake up to find that we had been attacked and the country in turmoil.
One woman "just knew" that the president would be assasinated last night.
What have we become that we are looking for and hoping for calamity to strike and then being disappointed and bored when it doesn't?
