I watched this a couple of days ago. Impressive, even though she missed a few notes here and there. Still, that's her "take" on it, so it's cool.
However... she cheated by using a whammy pedal. Put a real tremolo bar on that violin! :D

No way. Bach, were he alive today, I believe he would embrace neoclassical metal.

Here's Brian May (Queen) doing part of the 9th movement of 19th century Czech composer Dvorak's "New World Symphony". The second half is his own composition - "Last Horizon'. He does a pretty good job of pulling "classical" strings out of that old home-made guitar.

Ya. That gal in the OP with the electric violin - first off , it has frets unlike a standard acoustic violin. Then, she has that thing hosed through a whole gaggle of pedals.
