Well, it looks like GWB will be re-elected. Although really too soon to tell, my gut instinct is that he'll be declared the winner. I desperately wanted Bush fired. I also desperately wanted Kerry elected president of France. Now Bush thinks his methods of (not) dealing with the crumbling economy have been validated by the "will of the people".
What this election screams out to me is that had ANY decent Democrat been Bush's opponent, Bush would have lost in a landslide. It's my personal opinion that the Dems ran Kerry on purpose, to pave the way for Hitlery in 2008 (should our nation survive that long). Kerry, from the moment I saw him, reeked of elitist pond-scum, "I'm better than you". He seemed the perfect product of the ultra-liberal Atlantic coast/NYC mentality.
When he got the lock on the nomination, I said then, that Bush would retake the WH.
At least this time the Dems won't be able to say Bush "stole the election". So I ask those of you who voted for Kerry this cycle, "Will you consider Bush to be the legitimate President?" Or will you continue to rant that Kerry was somehow sabotaged (he WAS, but not by the Repubs.)
I have no problems with liberalism AS LONG AS it's within set limits. Kerry represented someone FAR outside those limits. The only people who really supported him were the ABB's. Had Edwards or Lieberman taken the nomination, chances are Bush would be packing this morning. And if you put Hitlery up for prez, and she takes the nomination, you won't capture the WH in 2008 either (JMHO).
Take heed - extremism serves no one well....
