Blasts hit IRGC military base in W Tehran

Two massive explosions have ripped through a military base belonging to the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in the western part of the Iranian capital, Tehran.

The incident took place around 1 p.m. local time (0730 GMT) when a munitions depot caught fire by accident at an IRGC military base in Bidgeneh village -- located on the outskirts of Shahriar city and about 35 kilometers (21 miles) west of Tehran -- Iranian lawmaker for Shahriar, Hossein Garousi, told ICANA news agency.

The shock wave released by the explosion shattered windowpanes and inflicted damage on a number of buildings in the area.

There are no clear casualty figures in the incident.

So we have Revolutionary Guard moving munitions which just happen to catch fire and explode,
What sort of munitions, how did they catch fire, who was moving them RG troops or a detail of local civvies doing the donkey work,

Accidents happen but these are Persians not illiterate Arabs, and RG are the elite of the Iranian forces..

What was the munitions, crates of 7.62 short don't just ignite & explode, was it artillery powder, rockets maybe some supplies for IED's to Iraqi insurgents

If this was an Israeli op, not a bad target to go after. Apparently the base that got hit stationed IRGC troops responsible for operating Iran's IRBMs. Wonder if there were any Shahab missiles at that ammo dump that went boom?

Explosion occurs in the village of Bidganeh where the Fifth Raad Missile Brigade, responsible for launching Shahab 3 and 4 missiles, is stationed; satellite images of the site reveal two large military bases near the village.

If their IRBM force is the base's focus, this could have been a rocket fuel explosion. Remember at the tail end of the Cold War when the main munitions dump for the Soviet Navy outside of Leningrad/St. Petersburg went up? It looked like a nuclear weapon shot from orbit.

There is a resistance movement inside Iran.

They may well have a "domestic terrorism" problem.

Yes there is mt4design and I wouldn't put it past them to start their plans now. And because of the way they are structured, they will most likely never be caught. Too many of them from all across the economic board and inside their gov. V
