I pulled out the slow cooker for the first time since gawd knows when.

Bought a 3lb. pork loin at the store. Carrot, celery, onion, potato, garlic, peeled, chopped, diced etc. All went in about 2 hours ago.

This is pretty standard fare for most of us.

I've thought about using bell peppers, or pablano's, but not sure how the flavor would change.

I always have ideas, but try to keep it simple.

Anyone have ideas for making a pot roast really something to brag about?

Yea; I forgot the bay leaf, but put one in at the end of the second hour. Thanks for reminding me.

Last year from a recipe at cooks.com, I added a 1/4 cup of red wine to a beef roast and darn near ruined it. I will still add some, but maybe a tablespoon, or so.
