It started raining. It was probably one of those clear ponchos.

Fox News said that it started to rain right when President Trump began to speak and the service members came down the stairs and were there handing out clear rain ponchos to the guests.

You can see some people starting to unpack their ponchos but then stop when the rain subsided.

The rain lasted only a few moments.

It looked to me like the first military person came down with two umbrellas and dropped one on either side of the President. It's good they are taking the Presidents security so seriously.

I thought it was odd about the military detail coming down when they did, but IMO, if there were any security threat the Secret Service would have been the ones to move in to protect Trump and secure the threat and not his military escort detail. The same detail escorted him out at the end. They seemed more of an honor guard than security, just my opinion though.

With that said, my wife and I discussed while rewatching the inauguration speech, how we both had a fear of something happening to him yesterday. She's not the type to think things like that all, but she was truly concerned. Personally, I expect an attempt upon his life within the next few months.

A side note about the phone, is that we still can't rule out phones as possibly being converted into a new kind of weapon but my guess is that it was indeed a phone like MB said and the guy figured rules didn't apply to him.

I believe the first military guy delivered the magic football. It has to be transferred from Obama's guy to Trump's guy. High level military are the only ones who handle football duty.

Usually the football personnel are kept out of the spotlight but think Trump wanted the world to know that ALL power had been transferred to him at that time. It's a brilliant power play, and a very distinct FU to all who want harm done to this administration.

they just looked like they were awaiting orders.
