I didn't cry all day....until the Armed Services Ball. When they started dancing with the service members,....I lost it!!

I'll tell you,....bigger than Betty Grable, I have a feeling Melania is going to be every service man's pin-up girl!!

More protester sign pics-and the sniper teams on top of the national archives building there to protect them-and us. The protest signs were the front of the ANSWER coalition''s stage on PA av. Got a lot more pics of the special snowflakes coming. And one pic of the security checkpoint we went through.

....I took a lot of protester pics-because I hope people will recognize these snowflakes for what they really are-enemies. Enemies of the people. Not because they express views contrary to what others think-but enemies because they use violence as easily as they use peaceful forms of protest. The two VA state troopers in the last pic are friends-they pulled out the people that cut the loudspeaker cable shutting down the narration for the parade. It was back up in minutes though.

....Must have been a little Dutch boy in the protester enclave-he wants a Dyke for president...hehe
Some of the signage we saw was really good quality. There was clearly some talent in that crowd. Too bad they will never use it to benefit others.

Another pic is of where we were at on the bleachers-they filled one up and went to the next one. Our seats were perfect!

....The signs got bigger as the parade started. Notice that nearly all the protesters are late teens to college age students. The Trump-as-Putin sign was pretty good; hand drawn. Some skill there. The National Archives building was directly behind us. So COOL-archives of the greatest nation in the history of the world AND watching presidential history in the space of 100 feet. You can watch on TV, but being there watching history like this is an experience I'd recommend at least once in one's lifetime. You can smell it, taste it, feel it. Presidents since John Adams came up this same street for their inaugurals-and our ancestors stood as we stood, watching history. Only if these buildings and streets could talk-what stories they could tell........We took part in history today. It's a moving experience.

....Something new on PA Av.-the pods on the lamp post look like chem/bio sniffers; they were all pointed up and around-not at ground level as a camera would be.

The cycles are the DC police color guard and motorcycle police-DC police rocked today folks. Their leaders are garbage but the cops have heart, soul and a penchant for busting protesters like matchsticks.

This is the SUV that had the dildo thrown at it-can anyone ID the gentleman waving? I don't recognize him. That Escalade he was in boogied down PA av when he had the marital aid thrown at it.

.....The Old Guard out of Ft. Myer was the first band playing in the parade-I'm not a fan of bands like this but these folks are GOOD. The Old Guard dressed in colonial era uniforms followed; that's when I swapped over from pics to taking videos.
You can see the Ford flatbed trucks coming up the street; these contained media and cameramen. They got a good loud chant of "We don't believe you fake media" as they passed by. Don't think they liked it much. So sorry........

Oh, in the first pic-see the big guy in red waving the Trump flag? He was our cheerleader today. This guy was the one who started our chants against the protesters. He kept up a non stop commentary against the protesters that kept us all in stitches. He was clean (his son was in front of him) but he kept up with stuff like "Heyhey goodbye" and "Go back to your parent's basements" and my favorite- "You haven't gone to your safe space yet"? This guy was a scream................At one point someone on the protester stage said something to the effect of "Trump supporters are fat pigs". This guy yells back "we're all fat WHITE pigs-and we won, you lost-everyone loves bacon, come and get some!"and proceeds to take off his Trump shirt, the green shirt he had under it too-while gyrating his hips like a belly dancer-and starts twirling both shirts around. Picture that-a fat white guy bare chested in 50 degree weather while it's sprinkling rain gyrating around like I dream of Jeanie....We all start clapping to his gyrations then he yells "Want me to take more off?" and both sides of the street yell back with a loud "NO!" I'm telling you-you can't get this type of entertainment ANYWHERE else.....

You can see the No Drone Zone sign hanging on the fence. Secret service says they have means to immediately take down any drone during the event today. Don't know how or what they use but it's a good thing. A drone with a chemical weapon load could have played havoc today with the crowds.

We swung by the Trump hotel on our way back to L' Enfant Plaza. Or, should one say "The Trump fortress" this weekend. Lots of high dollar supporters and the like are staying there this weekend, and there's more than enough police around to make sure they have a safe secure and wonderful time.

In my almost 6 decades I never remembering a Presidential Party that allowed anyone to "cut in" during the dance. Of course the whole thing was vetted, secure, and practiced ahead of time-but that really WOW'ed me good...then he goes back and cuts the Armed Services cake with a Marine Sword-I nearly had to change my drawers. He's promising a lot: A border Wall (on the Mexican trade deficit with our country), better customs vetting and tighter border control, rebuilding crumbling infrastructure, restore Rule of Law (needed in our Republic otherwise there exist Anarchy), not take on ISIS but exterminate them, and lower taxes; all through Trade Deals, if he can do that in 4 years...he could set up a plan to pay down the national debt in a 2nd term...but I'm getting ahead of myself.

....The first two pics were signs at the security checkpoints. After the naked cheerleader guy thing more than a few people were going through the checkpoints out (they checked you coming in, not out) opening their coats like strippers. The cops got a kick out of that-people dancing through the checkpoints like we were Chippendale dancers. Fun I tell you!

Bearcom was the company handling a lot of the on the ground communications. There were also 7 temporary cell towers mounted on the mall-Verizon users today on the mall used 7 TERABYTES of data, with 80% of the use being social media sites. I can also tell you there were a number of Stingrays being used-I went in with a full battery (my Blackberry will last 28 hours normal use on a full charge) and by 4pm my battery was at 5 %. And Bluetooth AND wifi were both turned off. And I took one 10 minute call the entire time I was there-my sister back home in GA saw all of us on TV and called me.

The last pic is the media tent-If you watched the inaugural today on TV this is where the bulk of the coverage originated from. This was built just for today's events-its 0130 here and I'll bet it's already been torn down....

...A pic of the front of the press center-perfect viewing for the inaugural. The last pic is of the Capitol as we left. For all the good, bad and ugly that is American politics; America is still the greatest nation on Earth. We the people spoke November 8th-and the results of the election is that God is giving us another chance as a nation-And President Donald J, Trump is the harbinger, the instrument of that second chance.

It is SO nice to see the Obama klan gone from DC politics and to see the Democrat politicians with their heads exploding having to deal with a total outsider. An outsider that has only the people's interests at heart.

God thank you that I was born an American!

If they arrest lots of those sorry snowflakes, that'll help put a damper on future rioting. Tomorrow, there are the women's marches.

AAANND the blacks---don't forget John Lewis here in Atlanta has to stir the dog manure tomorrow....

Did anyone else see Moochelle crook her finger at, and kiss a white, bald SS Agent yesterday morning? Melania was beside her, so I think it was as they arrived at the Capitol. I tried to find a you tube link for this, but couldn't find one... I watched CSpan all day and missed it the first time, but they showed it later in the evening, after the parade was over. I thought it was weird. I also was totally creeped out by Joe Biden putting his hands on Mrs. Pence's face, as they greeted the Pence's at the White House. Ack! So glad that these cretins are gone!

Moochelle showed her "ass" on the way out. I saw it, all of it, as most did, (if they were not blind). Moochelle is a low class grifter, (ON HER WAY OUT OF TOWN).

Michelle Obama's face doesn't hide how she feels about Donald Trump becoming US President
Former first lady's face sums up how many feel about the election of the New York property tycoon

Michelle Obama looked unimpressed during the inauguration of Donald Trump as 45th President of the United States – summing up the mood among critics of the controversial billionaire who was sworn in at a ceremony on Capitol Hill.

Eyebrow raised, the former first lady stood and watched as Mr Trump recited the 35-word oath.

Her dour facial expression prompted an immediate reaction on social media, with one person saying that her evident displeasure at the New York tycoon becoming the most powerful man on the planet “spoke for all of us”.

She also appeared unimpressed earlier in the day when she was handed a box by Mr Trump’s wife Melania.

Ms Obama looks around for somewhere to put the ribbon-wrapped box, before shooting a swift look of desperation at the camera (screen grab)

The outgoing first lady grimaced as she turned to the waiting photographers clutching the box, which is said to be from the jewellery shop Tiffany, which neighbours Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue.

Hillary Clinton and husband Bill were also among the gathered dignitaries. The defeated Democratic nominee appeared steely-eyed as she awaited Mr Trump's arrival.

But more than 60 fellow Democrats refused to attend his swearing in ceremony, which saw Mr Trump placing his hand on two Bibles, one used by his family and another used for President Abraham Lincoln's inauguration.

The new US President declared a united America was “totally unstoppable” and said the country would “start winning again, winning like never before”.

The snideness of this article is more than compensated for by the wonderful (and, I presume, British?) humor of those who commented on it:

Well he's dropped 27,000 bombs in 2016, and been at war his entire 8 years - a historical first. He's killed 100,000's of women & children, mainly by drone. And got the Nobel peace prize for it. Congratulations Mr obomber.

Does Muchhell Obama ever not have a look on her face like someone just farted in it? That is the most classless ungratefull winch I have ever seen in my life! And "going back to the real world"? Really? Do these people even know what the real world is? If there is any two people on this earth that should kiss the ground and look up at the sky and scream "thank you God for this wonderfull life you have blessed us with!" every morning it is these two. God they disgust me.

Excellent report Alfa Man, like seeing it with you. Was especially grateful to hear of the security corridor as families left. That was my main concern was disruptJ20 would throw projectiles. Glad to hear you and everyone had a great time. We heard that crowd roar on the tv when he said so help me God all the way up here in the woods, lol.

Donald's face shows that he "gets it" in terms of the awesome responsibility he's about to take on.

Of course he does. He's a freaking grown-up. I expect he was also reflecting on the massive amount of hard work that he--and so many in his campaign--put in to get there...

CUTE: Barron Trump Plays Peek-a-Boo With Nephew as Dad Signs Orders

A sweet moment was captured shortly after President Donald Trump was inaugurated this morning.

Many noticed the president's 10-year-old son Barron playing peek-a-boo with his nephew, Theodore, who is the son of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner.

President Trump was in the midst of signing his first executive orders following his swearing-in ceremony, surrounded by his family, VP Mike Pence, House Speaker Paul Ryan and other congressional leaders.

A sweet Trump family moment was caught on camera during today's ceremonies.

Donald Trump isn't wasting much time before signing some presidential paperwork. Press secretary Sean Spicer says on Twitter that the new president is signing formal nominations for each of his Cabinet picks and other members of the new administration. He's also signing a proclamation for a National Day of Patriotism and legislation that clears the way for retired Marine Gen. James Mattis to run the Pentagon, if confirmed by the Senate. Trump signed the documents as he was surrounded by lawmakers and his family members, and he handed out ceremonial pens to members of Congress.

Thank you all-it was a pleasure to give you all an unvarnished on the ground view of a momentous day for all of us. We can now go walk our Astor at the White House again, seeing there is a president in power again. YAY!!!

When we got home last night I couldn't sleep-I finally fell asleep in my chair about 0345 this morning. The enormity of the day-we have a real honest to God president again. That thought kept running through my head. We are America again......

My wife had to work today so I woke right up at 5 with her and I've been up ever since. I'm still wound up from yesterday. My nephews and nieces are just getting up; our house is a bohemian crash pad but it's great to have them up for this. We bought souvenirs for them and my sisters and brothers in law to take home with them-The vendors I think liked us coming through. Around the 7 folks that came up we spent about 250 bucks on souvenirs. Took them to Amphora cafe for a after inauguration meal. They were hungry and so were we. We ate good, folks. Niece and nephew brought their friends up-their friends are now our honorary nieces and nephews. They had an absolute blast-2 had never been up here, so it was an extra special treat for them. If they ask we don't mind-they know no drugs or alcohol in our house, and no arguing. That's our only rules. The kids they bring up are good kids, and good friends to them. The only bad thing is that they snore-ALL of them. LOUD.....We wore them out I think.

I'm glad you made it there and back again in one piece. Is the Washington Monument still closed and about to fall over?

The reason the crowd was "sparse" was due to the Snowflakes, and J20, slowing up the security entrances with their antics? Why didn't the DC police just start arresting the Snowflakes and J20 types and stuffing them on buses for the trip to RFK stadium. I watched both the pathetic security at the Deploraball, as well as the morning chaos and wondered if the NG General didn't order a security stand down to let the Snowflakes mess things up?
Check out my sig and go to my wordpress blog. I wrote an essay where I called the NG General a traitor for allowing all the chaos.

At any rate, thanks for the pics. I really appreciate you didn't actually post any of the half naked fat guy! It would be considered cruel and unusual punishment!
