Hi, this is my first attempt at writing a story. But I have been hanging around for a while, really enjoying the writing on here. there are no UK sites that I have found with anything like this on so I hope you don`t mind me intruding.
It is UK based and has a few curses but nothing too strong.

I have purposefully not given the main character a name yet, im not sure this works, but if you have any suggestions on how I can continue without using "he said....." or "The principle character spoke..."

Yeah, you need to give him a name. It gets confusing when you are saying "he said" and "he said" and the characters are not the same. Need names to keep the conversations straight.

Thank you for your support guys.
I will try and do at least 1 chapter a week. Sorry the last one was a bit short but im just trying to set the scene, and build up the characters.
When other people write stories do they have an exact plan or rough idea of where the plot is going? Or do you just go with how you are feeling at the time.

I have ideas about specific situations the characters will find themselves in, and what problems will beset them, but no clear idea of an ending or their ultimate fates.

Any hints or things that annoy you about my writing style will be taken as well meant advice.
