Heads Up! National Guard Called Up, Police Plan for Potential Cleveland Uprising

The Ohio National Guard is alerting soldiers to report to duty in preparation for potential riots following the trial of Cleveland, Ohio, police officer Michael Brelo, according to an insider.

At least one National Guard company was ordered to report to home station on May 17 with 72-hour bags because the verdict for Brelo, accused of manslaughter for shooting two unarmed black suspects, is expected on May 18 or 19, said the source who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

A Cleveland resident also tweeted that she saw police driving around with “riot shields sticking out of their trunks” in anticipation of the Brelo decision.
“A girl on Facebook posted a photo of the riot gear her father received from the Cleveland Police Dept.,” another Cleveland resident tweeted. “It truly amazes me that Cleveland is armed for a riot that hasn’t even started yet.”

A few weeks ago, ABC 5 Cleveland reported that area police departments were buying up riot gear, bulletproof vests and other safety equipment.

“We are getting more calls with everything that’s going on in the country, but an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,” the sales manager for a police uniform supplier, Brandon Demarco, said.

Brelo was charged with two counts of voluntary manslaughter in the Nov. 29, 2012 deaths of Timothy Russell and Malissa Williams who were both gunned down in a barrage of 137 shots fired by 13 Cleveland officers.

Hank Davis, a former gang member who now works with at-risk youth, heard that out-of-town agitators have already arrived in Cleveland and are pressuring residents to riot after the verdict.

I don;t suppose anyone can find the original story where it was stated the Police saw "stuff" being thrown out the windows as the car refused to stop...? I do not know WHAT was being thrown but I could guess maybe stuff that could get them in bigger trouble if caught with it!

Nope.. have not heard this original story for quite some time.. only the part about the 137 bullets. over "kill"? you bet.. but what were on the minds of the officers as they eluded police and were throwing stuff out..? Just some thoughts on the matter...

let's not let any good cri sis go to waste. you know we need more dis tress in our cities....:(

Protesters concerned about verdict in Michael Brelo trial briefly block traffic on Lakeside Avenue

12:35 PM, May 18, 2015

CLEVELAND - About 20 protesters concerned about the verdict in the trial of Cleveland Police Officer Michael Brelo briefly blocked Lakeside Avenue downtown Monday.

The group originally gathered outside the Cuyahoga County Justice Center.

Protesters said they want to see a conviction for Brelo.

Over the weekend, Judge John O'Donnell announced that the verdict could take days or even weeks to determine . He said the verdict would definitely not be read Monday.

The verdict will determine whether the patrolman committed a crime when he jumped onto the hood of Timothy Russell’s car and fired 15 shots through the windshield at the conclusion of the incident.

Gee. Per Newachanel 5, a verdict may take weeks (or so they said yesterday).

I haven't been home in a week. I'll see what RELIC has to say when I get home tonite.

Understand the Mayor has had at least two press conferences "detailing" his plans...

"Plan"---Chronological list of things that ain't gonna happen.

"Plan"--- a good exercise for a young shavetail officer which will never survive contact with the opposition.

Police see stuff pitched from cars all the time. They note the location and either someone peels off from pursuit and stops there or they go back and find it. It's not the stuff thrown out that worries them, it's the stuff still inside.

The danger is that the cops get all worked up in the chase, and then when they stop there's an adrenaline overload and they end up with a cop riot, which is what this sounds like.

Bingo!

that is what I meant, with out saying so much, and you are very right, the adreniline flowing and all those in on the chase... dont get me wrong, it was a nasty thing, but it is also being really played for all the pennies it can shake out, mainly because of the skin tones involved.

ND, I would search but I am in and out and fighting a headache...so I will just watch this thread, thanks for looking around.

MILITARY "WEAPONS SIMULATED" TRUCK AT DHS PIER BASE IN CLEVELAND

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxf4tDYTrJ0

The Coast Guard simultaneously preforms missions under both the DHS and DoD, this is established under Title 10, 14, 18 and 33 where the purpose, authority, and structure of the Coast Guard is laid out. Prior to the establishment of DHS, the CG was under the DoT, unless in times of war (this still applies under DHS) In a domestic role, the CG preforms maritime law enforcement and interdiction. In a an armed forces role, the CG preforms a slew of military missions, even SF missions. A handful of SEAL teams have CG DOG (Deployable Operations Group) personnel in their personnel structure, because of their detailed knowledge of ports and other coastal facilities.

Being concerned that a mobile variant of stationary laser tag is parked at a CG station, is akin to becoming concerned that water is wet. The US Military has permanently established VCS ranges at any base that hosts a combat unit. I've personally utilized VCS ranges at Fort Knox and Wendell H. Ford Training Center when I was in CAP.

VCS are not only a force multiplier, they're invaluable because they help orientate personnel with firearms, shooting basis, combat scenarios, ect... prior to an actual FTX. Thus saving time and money.

The location in video is USCG Cleveland Moorings, it hosts a cutter, electronics support detachment, and MSU. Which more than explains why a weapons simulator is parked there. Cleveland Moorings is also apart of USCG Base Cleveland which is HQ for the CG Ninth District which covers eight states.

Brelo Verdict: 2 Hour Notice to be Given, Many Expect Decision by Weekend

During the sixteenth day of the manslaughter trial against Cleveland Police Officer, Michael Brelo, a courtroom spectator requested to discuss her concerns about the case with Judge John O'Donnell.

From the bench, O'Donnell declined, stood up and stated, "I'm deciding. I'm the trier of facts. I have to conclude whether the defendant is guilty or not guilty on these charges."

Since there is no jury, the fate and potential freedom of the 31-year-old Marine veteran rests with one person. Judge John O'Donnell listened to weeks of testimony and reviewed more than 1,000 exhibits. But 10 days after the closing arguments concluded, there was still no word of any verdict.

Has No Life - Lives on TB
I just posted in the JH thread.

A friend just told me there is a build up of military equip in Cuyahoga Co, Ohio. It's an old National Guard place that hasn't had any equipment in years. That's all I know. Isn't one of our members in that area?

Maybe night driver knows about this. I don't have an address to give you, if I talk to them again I'll ask about location.

I would point out that this would have hougatz to do with JH up here.

Understand that if you are talking about Ravenna, that place has never actually been deactivated.

Yeah I would need to know WHERE to look.

Cuyahoga County ain't small...
