This is a video with audio of three reporters chatting after a White House press briefing on Ebola. Major Garrett is chief White House Correspondent for CBS (formerly of Fox). The woman reporter says something about "If the DC report comes back positive..." that can't be made out.

CAN ANYONE HERE MAKE OUT THE WORDS?

Of course they know we're screwed. I cannot imagine what mindset allows a person to keep covering up the truth. Talk about mental illness. And they all have it.

Sounds to me like she said "I'll be doing phone interviews"....

This confirms what I've believed. That the government and the mainstream media are full of lies.

The clue was when they actually announced a positive-tested case (Duncan). At that point, they knew they could no longer keep it under wraps.

Yet they're still trying to do the 'happy dance', even as they know they don't want to travel through airports (ala telephone interviews) !!

I've listened to this about 50 times, and it's "DC test comes back positive I'm doing [three syllable word]. Definitely not "phone interviews". She repeats herself but it's no more intelligible.

Doubtful we'll be hearing about this on the evening news. Does anyone know who the three individuals are heard conversing here?

Here's what I got, after listening with an equalizer on to single out her voice.

At the end of the briefing not knowing his microphone is switched on, Major Garrett can be heard saying to two other White House officials,

Female
"The most interesting thing is the travel stuff"

Male
“Yeah, we're screwed!”
He then goes on to say…
“I am feeling a little fluey, give me kiss.”

The other official pushes him away jokingly and the female official says…

Female
“If the DC result shows positive, I'm doing thumpers all weekend"

Male
"What?'

Female
"If this dc test comes back positive, I'll be doing thumpers"

No, he was pissed when he realised he had been overheard "Did everyone hear that ok?" last comment before tossing mic on chair. Watch his body language. Once they passed off camera to right, someone said "you're mic", then he walked over to chair and said that and removed it.

Eta after this display, I have no doubts the DC case will come back negative, regardless of the truth.

You have expressed my feelings much better than I could......to be honest, I was so sickened by the reality of what they were saying that I'm certain I could never have expressed it as perfectly, without adding in about a hundred not so nice words.......it's just unreal.....these reporters are Americans too......do they really feel it's ok to NOT do their job and NOT report the TRUTH to the rest of us.......I could say a whole lot more, but there's no point......what we take away from this is what we've always known, but prayed wasn't reality.......It's those special ones, in the know, and then there's the rest of us......they'll spoon feed what they think we need to hear and most of that will be lies.

You could very well be right.....up to this point I had always respected Mr. Garrett as a reporter.....to think that he would , as a reporter, keep life and death information from the public just horrified me........it makes me wonder how he wouldn't know that his mic wasn't still live....he's been at the job a long time......just wondering.

Leska, I think I'm one of them people.

And when I was involved, I agreed that KNOWING that a tornado warning had been issued would NOT be blasted to the half to 3/4 mil people at a fest I was responsible for.
EASY reason for me...the PANIC would kill upwards of 2-3,000 people where the storm MIGHT kill a couple hundred.
WE were saving lives by NOT creating the killing panic

LIKELY they are thinking along the same lines.

THOUGH I really DO hate it, too.

And their inability to prepare (just like the large crowd you are talking about) is DIRECTLY laid at the feet of our misleaders who do everything possible to NOT encourage people to take responsibility for themselves and their families, and to NOT learn how to safely handle disasters, large or small.

We're either citizens or serfs...

I know that this does occur, six of one half a dozen of another but personally I'd like to have as much information as possible so as to protect my family, etc.,
The best advice is if you don't have to go anywhere then don't, stay home. This reduces your risk of contracting ebola if not all virii.

He was chatting it up with some friends, I doubt that he knew his mic was still hot. However, this was CSPAN and the fact that it made it into the "wild" says a lot about the gov't. They could have scrubbed this but chose not to, in fact maybe even hoped it would go viral. How many people have seen this on twitter, facebook, and other places tonight that are now having second thoughts about travelling, going out for dinner, etc., now?

EMS, SAR, FD, LEO's, our military, etc., make these sorts of decisions each and every single day of the week, and they live with the resulting consequences. So yes, this IS the way it goes down, sorry to pop your bubble but you are no longer a disaster noob because now you know the truth.

I think their assessment of panic is completely out of touch with reality. Ppl do not panic when given accurate truthful information, are educated and given choices on determining their destiny. It is when they are disrespected and thought of as pawns to manipulate before destroying that they are most susceptible to panic. If this situation does not "blow over" we may all get a chance to see just how wrong TPTB are at this point in history.

Those of you who have read The Fourth Turning -- this could definitely be a nail in the coffin of trust in current systems.

Yet this afternoon, Anthony Fauci was on WCBS 880AM out of NYC and boldly answered "No" when asked if he thought there would be a widespread Ebola event in this country. He had the same answer to closing our borders saying it would hurt lots of people and cause other nations to copy the tactic.

What does he think an Ebola outbreak would do? :screw:

Maybe the live mike was not an accident. Just his way of getting the word out without losing access. It's not like any broadcast where one of these folks started telling all would every cross the airwaves.
