DISASTER Burning down the house -- fires around the world today ~

mzkitty

I give up.
Besides Maui, I just thought you all might like to see where other worldwide fires are going on.

Don't forget -- I think it's Meta and Google who are banned from posting news in Canada now too.

We're getting choked out by the fires in Medical Lk., and Elk, WA. In Medical Lake, at least 200 homes have been destroyed as of earlier today. 30 Structures in Elk, with 100 more threatened at the moment. The evacuation maps keeps expanding every hour, it seems.
And, The. Wind. Won't. Stop. Blowing!

One of the things that terrifies me about this is that the smoke is so thick, if new fires were to start, you wouldn't even be able to see a plume to report it!

Just horrible.

Do you have to evacuate, Babs?

No. We're still quite a distance from the fires, (we're in Idaho) but the smoke is unbelievable. We're in our home with air cleaners running and my eyes are still burning, throat is sore, and sinus headache. DH and I both.

Yup, I had all of the above when the smoke came here. I'm sure you're taking what OTC meds that you have. Hope you manage OK and feel better soon.

make sure you have ozone based air generation units. it really, really, really helps with any allergens that are airborne. Unfortunately the only affordable units that do that are made in china, grr... I can post a link to such a unit That I have used but bear in mind these units are in a bit of a legal grey area as you bump the dose rate too high and it becomes therapeutic and arguably dangerous.

You know, we tried one of those years ago, but they gave me a bad headache and the family couldn't stand the way it smelled.

I am in evacuation from the Elk fire. We checked on the home last night and it was still ok but a neighbor 2 houses up lost an out building. The fire stopped .2 mi from us and turned south. They would not let us back in due to spot fires and it's was a good thing. We hear the wind came up over night and caused additional significant distruction on our street. It's frustrating, we are getting no information and I have yet to see a firefighter. No planes flying yesterday due to conditions.

if it is giving you a headache, the setting was too high. The smell is the ozone reacting with all the pollutants in the air. After a while the smell will equal out, but if the smell is stron again, you have the output setting too high for the square footage it is used in.

Tree Huggers--I remember in Louisiana, the pine trees were abundant and still are, Why? because the foresters burn the undergrowth not letting the dead wood, grass or whatever get to thick.

If you have some N-95's left over from the scamdemic they may be of some use. A HEPA-filter quality air filter on your heat pump/furnace recirculating system may help too. An hour in hazardous air is the equivalent of a pack of cigarettes. If you have a recirc button on your car's air-conditioning system the cabin filter will help remove some of the worst particulates. Godspeed to all in harms way.

Is it a hepa filter system?

If not, we just bought a levoit hepa filter unit and it cleans the room up pretty good with it sealed up.

Idk how it would fair with massive smoke plums hitting the area though.

Yes it's HEPA, carbon and UV. The problem is that we're currently in a 5th wheel and they don't seal up very well.

A new fire just started up a mile down the hill. The neighbors had it just about out before the FD got there. Thank God!! Fire resources are spread way too thin right now. Could have been devastating. I can't wait for the rain to get here tomorrow night. I can't take too much more of this stress and smoke.

Why do you say that next year is the year of fires?
Grand solar minimum ramping up, the solar alignment that will be occurring, the coming apophis asteroid and nibaru/terminator/planet x getting closer. It all plays into things as the gravity interactions makes weather go nuts.

That's how the Italians have BEAUTIFUL forests.
They burn the forest every year! No trees are harmed, the bad bugs are all kept down and it doesnt get hot enough to harm the wildlife.

What ( or who) is STARTING all these fires???

Good question. Although it is so incredibly dry that any small spark could start a massive wildfire. Some suspect that it was a cigarette tossed out of a window. This fire was right on the side of the road. There have been many deliberately set fires lately also.
