Food Bounty of peas

My DD and SIL have a garden and picking 1 to 2 bushels per day for past 5 days.

That's a lot of peas per day! Are they purple hulls? I can't tell in the picture. Mine haven't even reached the trellis yet. Last minute garden upgrades kept me from getting them in the ground early.

Horticulture? My mom love's shelling and snapping beans. It is like this zen thing for her as she spent so much time with her father doing it when she was a little kid. That and blackberry picking.

I shelled peas and picked blackberries as a kit too. I don't think that would zen me out at all, good for you mother.

One to two bushels a day!! That'll keep you busy for sure!

Hubby hates being out in the sun picking beans, but I can plop a big dishpan of washed beans in his lap while he is watching TV and he will snap them all; then I can them. I'll settle for that division of chores
