That wasn't exactly what I meant though. Our struggle for independence from Britain was shone upon by the Almighty. Further struggles may yet still see His light.

Good questions. Answers, however, aren't forthcoming.

As for your second point, it sounds a lot like "go do it and hope for the best." That's not a path I'd really rather take with God.

Washington prayed. We can search ourselves, and listen, and pray. I don't like nor advocate the path you think I do, but neither do I discard the possibility of having to walk it.
