Pests/Ctrl armadillos :(

Anyone have a sure fire method besides expensive fencing, to repel armadillos? I already keep everything under wraps from the chickens using plastic mesh fencing but the armadillo just goes right under it. I need some ideas on odorous plants to keep him away.

You need a live trap, and then either a 22 or relocate a long ways away.

Eggs seem to be the best all-around bait for me with the possible exception of trapping cats. Cats I do move to far away places where I know there is food and water. Anything else, I'll shoot, but I just can't bring myself to shoot a cat.

If you have chickens, I doubt there is a plant that would repel any sort of varmint.

I've read that you can set up a small fence system into a V that will direct the dillo into a live trap or a pit (they can jump about two feet) so you can shoot them, relocate them or fatten them up with corn to make them a bit more edible.
