I'm north of totality, but will go out to view it any way. I saw the one last October while visiting friends in New Mexico.

In about the 95+% area, so yes. Made a couple of shadow boxes with steel punched holes in .020" aluminum for aperture. Should be OK.

Peak coverage is about 3:14pm EST for me and the family.

I'll go outside work and take a look.
We're only going to get 88% coverage.

Taking a welding helmet to work and left one out for the wife so she can go look.
Some expert said welding lens needs to be #14 darkness. I've used one on a partial eclipse before. I just made quick glimpses.

Yes. Have my permethrin clothes laid out. Muck boots gathered. Back pack with Thermacell (just in case), two thermoses for hot water to drink, sunglasses, flashlight, gloves, and a hat. Headed into the swamp off my road, should have an excellent south-westerly view! Already ate all my eclipse snacks.

Even though this is my busy season, I will go into the great state of Indiana for a view. I will visit a client(We went to J-6 together), and we will find a desolate area somewhere & set-up. Have some grillin', music & some drinks. I am the designated driver, so not for me. We are still watching the weather closely, as it just quit raining here 2 hours ago. the front is moving south east. Clear 250 miles behind it on 4 out of 5 models on the attached link. Thanks to Walbash for the link. We do have to get together sometime. I am retiring soon!

With everything going on, I think staying close to home is a good idea. We have the eclipse, the comet, the collider, mercury in retrograde, and the rockets all happening at once. I'm good.

We are in the 49-55% area, so may give it a try. Will use our trusty welding helmets, the same ones we used last time. But then again, I may stay in bed and deal with my autoimmune stuff. At this point, it's a toss-up.

Something was said on the news that there won't be another one around here for something like 60 years.
We had one a few years ago.

I'm a little confused on that statement.

We're expected to be overcast. Still, I will wander outside to see what if anything i can see. I'm curious as to if there is any change in light or animal behavior.

The next one in the USA will be in 20 years. It will only be up in a few states far North including Montana.

The one in 2017 was the first one in the USA in about 40 years.

I can't say yes or no but a maybe. We were in the path of totality in 2017 and yes it was very cool. We're in the 99% totality this time. I'm thinking of driving over to DD's house 30 minutes away. She is in the path of totality but she will be at work. I could just pull up in front of her home to see it and then take the back road home. I haven't decided yet.

ETA: I'm on my way to the path of totality so I'll change my maybe to a YES :)

The center of the totality path is about 5 miles north of my house, so I will go outside and watch it go dark. It should be at 100% here and the weather is supposed to be good so this should be interesting.
I'm interested in what the cows across the road will think about it all as its happening LOL.

Home is just 15 minutes southeast of DFW... totality viewing will be questionable due to cloud cover...

I am far from totality, but will see what there is to see from my location!

In 2017 I watched the entire thing from a high mountain meadow, and it was a pretty neat experience. The birds got quiet, and the dogs curled up under a tree! I used gogges I made by stacking several layers of blank photographic negatives inside a pair of ski goggles.

Absolutely. We’re 100% totality in southeast Missouri.
Like last time in 2017, My husband and I will be working on our eBay listings and popping in and out checking it out. We have a great view. Hope the clouds won’t be too thick. We also will have the tv on with live coverage throughout the day.
