APRIL 2018
1st - 3rd
Start seedbeds. Good days for transplanting. Good days for planting beets, carrots, radishes, turnips, peanuts, and other root crops. Also good for leafy vegetables.

4th - 5th
Neither plant nor sow on these barren days.

6th - 8th
Favorable days for planting beets, carrots, turnips, radishes, onions, and other root crops.

9th - 10th
Excellent time to kill weeds, briars, poison ivy, and other plant pests.

11th - 12th
Set strawberry plants. Excellent for any vine crops, such as beans, peas, and cucumbers. Good days for transplanting. Favorable days for planting root crops.

13th - 15th
Poor planting days. Break ground or cultivate.

16th - 17th
Favorable for planting beans, corn, cotton, tomatoes, peppers, and other aboveground crops.

18th - 19th
Poor days for planting, seeds tend to rot in ground

20th - 21st
Plant seedbeds and start flower gardens. Plant tomatoes, beans, peppers, corn, cotton, and other aboveground crops on these most fruitful days.

22nd - 25th
Grub out weeds, briars, and other plant pests.

26th - 28th
favorable time for sowing grains, hay, and fodder crops. Plant flowers. Plant corn, melons, squash, tomatoes, and other aboveground crops.

29th - 30th
Start seedbeds. Good days for transplanting. Good days for planting beets, carrots, radishes, turnips, peanuts, and other root crops. Also good for leafy vegetables.

MAY 2018
1st - 2nd
Seeds planted now will do poorly and yield little
3rd - 5th
Plant late beets, potatoes, onions, carrots, and other root crops.
6th - 7th
Kill plant pests on these barren days
8th - 10th
Fine for vine crops. Set strawberry plants. Good days for transplanting. Favorable time for planting late root crops
11th - 12th
Poor planting. Fine for cultivating or spraying.
13th - 14th
Good days for transplanting. Root crops that can be planted now will yield well.
15th - 16th
Any seed planted now will tend to rot.
17th - 18th
Plant seedbeds and flower gardens. Most favorable for corn, cotton, okra, beans, peppers, eggplant, and other aboveground crops.
19th - 23rd
A barren period. Favorable for killing plant pests, cultivating, or taking a short vacation.
24th - 25th
Favorable time for sowing hay, fodder crops, and grains. Plant flowers. Excellent time for planting corn, beans, peppers, and other aboveground crops
26th - 27th
Plant seedbeds. Excellent for planting aboveground crops, and planting leafy vegetables.
28th - 30th
Seeds planted now will do poorly and yield little.
31st
Plant late beets, potatoes, onions, carrots, and other root crops.
