CHAT Anyone feel ivermectin helped them to NOT get covid?

We have covid in the house finally. (Yep. I updated the vote.) As soon as my kid came down with it, we all started taking ivermectin. I have a pal that had been taking it as a preventative from his doctor. However, he and his wife succumbed to it after a Christmas family gathering. My kid started exhibiting symptoms on Wednesday and is feeling a lot better today. So far, Mrs TKO and I haven't had any symptoms. We started 12mg per day as soon as the kid got it. Today, I moved to 24mg. Crossing my fingers. Covid was the straw that broke the camel's back for my sister in law last year...and she passed from what I'd call "covid complications". It got in her chest and that was the end for her.

How would you know? You can't be your own control group.
You don't really. Anything on this forum is anecdotal at best. Looking for experiences where people have taken IVM and had covid in the house. My thinking at this point is IVM doesn't do squat. However, I'd like to hear other people's experiences. For me, I have been vaxed. I'd not know if it was the vax or the IVM. OR...something else such as the massive amount of supplements and D3 I take.

I could find this on DuckDuckGo as a top article. Not on google as a top. LOL!

Abstract
In 2015, the Nobel Committee for Physiology or Medicine, in its only award for treatments of infectious diseases since six decades prior, honoured the discovery of ivermectin (IVM), a multifaceted drug deployed against some of the world's most devastating tropical diseases. Since March 2020, when IVM was first used against a new global scourge, COVID-19, more than 20 randomized clinical trials (RCTs) have tracked such inpatient and outpatient treatments. Six of seven meta-analyses of IVM treatment RCTs reporting in 2021 found notable reductions in COVID-19 fatalities, with a mean 31% relative risk of mortality vs. controls. During mass IVM treatments in Peru, excess deaths fell by a mean of 74% over 30 days in its ten states with the most extensive treatments. Reductions in deaths correlated with the extent of IVM distributions in all 25 states with p < 0.002. Sharp reductions in morbidity using IVM were also observed in two animal models, of SARS-CoV-2 and a related betacoronavirus. The indicated biological mechanism of IVM, competitive binding with SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, is likely non-epitope specific, possibly yielding full efficacy against emerging viral mutant strains.
Keywords: COVID-19; H. pylori; SARS-CoV-2; ivermectin; spike protein.

IVM is hard for me to get, so I don't use it as a preventative, but I do take it immediately if I'm starting to have symptoms. I think it works! I'm still here.

As preventatives: elderberry (daily), D3 (and K), C (and A), zinc, plus I'm eating whole fruits and salads, and walking outside over the noon hour, unless it's below zero or too icy.

I don't wear a mask, but I do avoid crowds, being in small indoor spaces with strangers, and professional haircuts right now. I had my hair cut short while the college footballs fans were out-of-state at the bowl games. I will now avoid such close contact for the next 8 - 10 weeks, as well as most shopping. I will run in and out of the grocery store for produce every other week, first thing. Once our covid numbers drop off a bit, I'll go more places. (I also had my teeth cleaned and eyes checked, so good to go for now!)

We are at 18.5% county positivity rate, last I heard.

Yep. I take similar things....D3, K2(K2 is better than K to get D where it needs to go), C(ester C), zinc, A, quercetin with bromelain, frankincense(boswellia), moringa, l-citrulline with malate, tart cherry, and stinging nettle. So far so good. Glad you are still with us!!!

I've been taking ivm - 2 doses a month, for about a year, along with the FLCCC preventative regime which includes nebulizing H2O2 if I even think I've been exposed. I've been a caretaker for 3 covid positive people in my family plus 2 friends and (knock on wood) thus far I have not come down with it. Family (even 82 year old mom) and friends were all back on their feet in less than 7 days. I've not had anyone in my inner circle, that I influenced into ivm, to have O2 drop below 94.

There was one day I had a bad cough - but it was gone the next. There was one day I had a bad headache (I never get headaches) but it was gone the next. Hubby is several years older than I. He was extremely tired one day for no reason but fine the next day. He's following the same regime I am. We are both generally healthy overall but we each have one (but different) co-morbidities.

We have not restricted our lives. We work. We're out and about with people everyday. We've vacationed. We've flown on airliners. We hug our friends and kiss our family. But we are careful, giving strangers a bit more space. When I come home after caregiving I strip off my clothes in the garage and they go straight into the laundry and I go straight to the utility shower before entering the house. We don't wear masks but we will squirt sanitizer now and then. We spend a lot of time playing outdoors when weather permits.

I don't know, I guess maybe Hubby and I are just lucky.

I sort of have the same question. I had it back in Oct and did take some paste, did it help? Who knows...the control group thing.

Don't mean to pry, but what's the problem? It's widely available and pretty cheap.

Not horse paste, not locally. I have to order it. Last place that had it in was Jeffers.
I think I have enough for me, for now if I get really sick.

Excellent! You may have had it but a small case of it with the headache. Sounds like you are doing great. My doctor says to get a nebulizer and do H2O2 as well. I haven't done that.

Hub thinks he got covid the fall of 2019, before covid was announced. I took care of him and did not catch it. Our family of 8 have been taking Ivermectin prophylactically for 2 years. Once a month. We are all adults and one child (7 yrs). No one except maybe hub has gotten covid. We are blessed. We also take the Quercetin, Zinc, NAC, D, Liposomal C, etc.

Maybe quercetin is the real superman!

Have felt “punky” on two different occasions in the last six months. Congested, chills and tired/achy. Took ivermectin in both instances and felt fine again after two to three doses about 48 hours apart. So..I don’t know if that was Covid trying to get at me. No testing was attempted. But that is my experience. I’d do it again for sure. The doctors and hospitals aren’t going to treat you.

I take ivermectin about every 10 days to 2 weeks. I get exposed to vivid constantly. Most of my co worker have had covid. Every week 2 or 3 coworkers come down with it. Only one death so far. When ever I know I have been exposed or when ever I feel a little congested I take a dose. My husband takes nothing and has never had symptoms of covid. I got covid 2 x but not since taking ivermectin. It has been just over a year since I last got it.

I have been taking it prophylacticaly the day before flying to work and the day I get home from work 28 days apart, coincidentally the same schedule as our dog gets it for heartworm prevention. The Admiral finds it extremely amusing that the dog and I both take the same medicine, from the same bottle, at the same time.

I started this routine in January 2021. Since I had very little exposure at work (and no ivermectin at work) it worked well. Lots of time spent in airport bars mask free the day after or the day before ivermectin dose and I didn't catch covid, if I did it was asymptomatic.

When hurricane Ida hit in September the response and need to shuffle crew in mid-hitch created exposure three weeks after I had last taken ivermectin (a crew member that got off briefly to check his house brought it back). That's when I caught it.

Was off the vessel about 6 hours after testing positive and immediately started ivermectin at a rate slightly above FLCCC protocol and recovered pretty rapidly.

I had quit taking ivermectin prophylacticaly since acquiring natural immunity, but have now resumed since the Omicron seems to be capable of evading natural immunity, although thankfully natural immunity doesn't seem to increase your chances of getting covid unlike the "vaccine".

In my case I would surmise ivermectin works prophylacticaly for at least a few days, but not after three weeks. I think the FLCC prevention protocol calls for weekly doses? I know this in anecdotal and in no way a scientific experiment, but those are my first hand results.

I had a hard time sleeping this week and think it set me up over the weekend. I caught something, about 3:30 in the morning I took a toothpaste size ivermectin. Within an hour or two the chest issues cleared up. I slept most of the day, taking lots of vit. c, D3 with K2, Q and zinc. Groggy, tired but no real headache, no sore throat, a little achy. Some coughing up of stuff.

I will take my second dose of Ivermectin Sunday.

I've been following flccc prophylacticly with the normal list of supplements as well as recommended ivermectin dosing since May. I think it works and quercitin/zinc is part of the daily supplement.
My one comment about ivermectin is if you decide to take it, TAKE IT at the full dosing exactly as recommended by flccc as soon as timing/symptoms indicate. Don't like flccc or the large doses? fine, pick another protocol, but commit to following something with no half measures and no delays.

I'll also state that if you plan to use the horse deworming paste, you should have 3 full tubes on hand for each person to be treated. That is only for one big treatment, none for twice weekly dosing.

EDIT - 3 full tubes should be enough for one adult male for one week long battle with covid (taking half a tube per day). The major point is it takes more than 1 tube per family (slight exaggeration) to treat covid. Prophylactic dosing will require additional ivermecton.

What? One tube of paste once....followed by more tubes at once.....no way jose.

I had concerns last week due to proximity to some and not having had any for two months decided to take two doses, spaced by a day. Then my friend came down with a sore throat, and I followed, slight cough. I have not taken any more Ivermectin, letting my immune system work it out. I will likely follow with another dose shortly after....day after tomorrow.I think.... no concerns to adverse reactions at al.

We started IV weekly; daily 5000 iu D3, 4000 mg of VC, Quercetin, Zinc, Melatonin. Also other vitamins. I don't meet people other than office mates, mostly. Don't distance, don't mask unless the person I'm with wants me to (my mask is ridiculously holey, permitting breathing, discouraging criticism).

I went to the hospital a month ago (unrelated), and last week the clinic (unrelated). Did not catch CV while there.

Had Christmas with my daughter. Let's go Brandon!

However, a LOT more people I know are catching it now. It's no longer just something I just read about.

We've been taking the D, C, quercetin, and zinc mix for about 16 months now, and added ivermectin last summer. We usually take it 2x a month or just before a group event, whichever is more.
We took it the night before Thanksgiving and hubbys niece and family all popped positive starting Black Friday so it might have helped us avoid that.
Then again my BIL and SIL were also there, vaxxed out the wazoo, without IVM and they didnt catch it either.

I was thinking of adding one (1) Fig Newton to my daily regimen.
I’m not a doctor but what I know might help you.
It is hard to overdose on Fig Newtons,
So I would take 2 fig newtons and then 2 hours later take 2 more.
Hope this will help you to not get the Covid.
You can always take 3 but I would need to have an observer there to make sure nothing happened with 3.
Good luck.

Pride comes before the fall.....Pride month ended.
Took two doses last week, a day apart. A friend appears to have come down with the omicron.... I have developed a cough and some drainage. Will start up on the IV after my coffee. So it did not prevent, but I'm sure it will knock it out. It did for my friend.... fyi, I spent fifteen minutes with him in his kitchen, which is where I believe I got it. It was a test of sorts.

@1911user how long should I keep taking the paste?
How much, is too much, is my new question.
With DH still recovering from Covid pneumonia and in his last dose today of Zpak.

My “case” is quite the mystery so I won’t go into all details; it’s just too much and would derail this thread.
I’ve taken it almost every day for two weeks, during this current crisis at my house.

**we still don’t know if I’m going to develop DH version of the bioweapon or not, since I’ve been his upfront and close caregiver.

I may or may not have been positive, was miserable Christmas weekend, his fever/illness also that week and VERY positive. My test on December 21 said negative but my suspicion is I was positive ( false test result, my Dr thinks so too)

I’d started taking paste the minute I felt bad which also could have prevented a true test result?

Anyway, I’m worried if I “let off the gas”, so to speak, I can still develop the illness.
I’m no longer taking higher doses though,

Thanks.

Oh!
I should add; I’m on day 4 of Zpak.

Urgent Care tested me again; Negative for Covid.

Urgent care started me on it the same day we got DH in there; diagnosing sinus infection in my case to explain my low fever that day and on and off, dizziness, headache; facial pain; malaise.
I still have those same symptoms here and there but am a lot better since Zpak.

No fever since then either, I’m pretty sure.
