Remember the icky virus we were discussing the other day: headache, earache, cough, aches and pains? Well, while I was at the drug store picking up antibiotics for the kid I ran across something called Airborne. "17 herbs and nutrients". Essentially the directions are to take one every three hours as soon as you get the first symptoms. It's an effervescent and tastes like Tang (those of you old enough to remember). Yesterday I had all the symptoms of this nasty-virus and started taking per directions. Today no more cough, no more ear problems, no more cough, no more swollen glands, pretty much nothing. I really didn't expect it to work on this particular thing, especially since I didn't catch this at "the first sign of" but will be adding this to my preps. It was $5.50 for 10 tabs - probably much less expensive at the local China Mart. I have to say I'm impressed. I did take Sambucol for this for 2 weeks and it DID ward it off for quite awhile. So both are going in my "med kit" now. Sambucol is good stuff also if you haven't tried it. Just not as dramatic as the Airborne in this particular case. Ah, I love drama!
