I had a '67 Type 1 some years ago that went places my CJ-7 couldn't hack. Would they be practical for parts avail, EMP, low-profile?

There are a lot of not restored to the 9's model A and T fords out there thea would make excellent SHTF vehicles. There are non better to navigate non maintained non existant roads.

If your considering this opeiton, get the "thing"
Removable doors, front and rear, same engine as the standard VW but can take off road better as it has a higher scrub line.
In addition it is a convertable.:siren:

This is what I have in mind. A Class 11 type rig. No chopping the body, a 3" body lift, roof rack...

A 1960s restorable VW convertible that runs is worth a good bit of money like $6,000. as is, fixed up allot more.

...which is still a heck of a lot cheaper than anything you can buy new (that is worth having) - plus, you can swap out the engine in about half an hour with minimal tools and no jack!
