The whole herd immunity thing never made sense to me when one argues against the person who does not vaccinate. If everyone vaccinates and now there's herd immunity, how can the one person who does not vaccinate make the herd ill with a disease?

When a rancher decides to vaccinate his cattle the cattle are not allowed to opt out. It is the same with any livestock ....

herd immunity works like this.
the farmer counts his cows. he finds 1000.
he sits down in his office and does the statistics.
he finds that if he vaccinates 90% of his cattle then all will be immune.
he then calls the vet and orders 900 vaccinations.
the vet says he needs 1000.
the farmer says the magic word "herd immunity".
the vet says "****ing CDC and their cockamamie bull stories" just cost me 100 vaccinations.
if vaccinations worked then a vaccinated person would not give a shit if you were vaccinated or not.
herd immunity, if real, would only work with a controlled herd. the population of the US is the least controllable on the planet. they go all over the world to exotic pandemic infested places. our politicians demand the entry of illegal and undocumented aliens. for it to work, one would have to have a wall.

Herd immunity never existed. The numbers show that. But damned if pharma is going to accept that.
As for do vaccines work, yes and no. Before discovering that my son had allergies to vaccine ingredients (no not the mercury or aluminum though those probably didn't help) he was fully vaccinated and received the chicken pox series twice. I was fully vaccinated as a child and received the required MMR boosters when I went to college.
My son got chicken pox when he was 12. He got shingles when he was 17. This year he got measles. I am grateful that the vaccine made it a mild case of measles. I also got measles. And then I got encephalitis. So vaccines work and they don't.
But most anti vaxxers I know would be willing to vaccinate if 1) vaccines would stop being rushed to market, 2) all vaccines underwent full double blind placebo testing, and 3) vaccine manufacturers were once again liable for any damage their vaccine caused.
As for Pan, families of kids with proven vaccine reactions are leaving the state already. And they are losing doctors. Several specialists have left because of the "investigation and review" of any physician that writes more than 4 exemptions in their career. According to one specialist it costs upwards of $100,000 for them to defend themselves each time.
Also, nurses and doctors have reported that they have been instructed to automatically give the flu vaccine to anyone that comes in unless the person can prove they've received it. If you are not concious then you are SOL and will get it. They are also to push the other vaccines if they have reason to believe the person does not have them. And they are not really asking. They bring the shot(s) in to administer with everything else they are doing. If you don't ask what's going on and say no, you get them.

I'm going to call Shenanigans on this. Where are you getting this information? Sorry, but you can't FORCE someone to get a shot or take medication and no one would give a shot to an unconscious patient like that. It would not be within acceptable professional protocols or standards of practice...leaving the individual giving and ordering the injections open to HUGE LAWSUITS! Not only for Malpractice, but ASSAULT AND BATTERY. In addition, who's paying for the shot? The hospital, nurse, doctor? As a patient you have the absolute right to refuse any and ALL treatments. At least as an adult.
You can't just run around giving people injections of "whatever" for any reason at all, no matter how well meaning. Patients have a right to refuse treatment. After all, what is a DNR order? A DNR is a DNR and a refusal to be treated is a refusal to be treated.

This was coming from ER nurses. I would normally agree with you because of the massive backlash that is possible. I know I would sue the heck out of a hospital for giving me a medication without my permission.
But it was verified by multiple people that would only speak out enough to say it was what they were told to do. They wouldn't give more information than that. That the people were employed by hospitals was verified by others, not myself. But so far those others have not lied to me.
As far as refusing treatment, you would be amazed at how many do not even ask what is happening. I question everything when it comes to docs, which sometimes drives folks crazy. But after years of dealing with my son's issues, I've learned. And yes, I have had doctors/nurses try to give my son vaccines without telling me what the shot was. Because they didn't believe he had the allergies. And yes, I get pretty testy. But it hasn't happened in a long time which is probably good. I know a lot more now than I did then.
