BUENA PARK (CBSLA) — Authorities were investigating Friday night after a reported shooting outside Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park.
According to investigators with California Highway Patrol, a drive-by shooting happened outside of the park shortly before 9 p.m.
It was not clear if anyone was injured in the shooting or if there were any evacuation orders in place, though people were seen leaving the theme park and employees were reportedly told to shelter in place.

Sorry about that. It’s well known in So cal. Right up the street (well a few cities away, in Buena Park) from Disneyland. It’s where Boysenberries come from.

Glad your daughter is ok. A friend of mine’s step-daughter was there tonight & was panicked. My friend texted me right away to see what twitter says because i’m her go-to for breaking news.
Seems like everyone is ok.
I haven’t been to knotts since I was small, but i remember panning for gold there.

This is true. My friend’s daughter was hiding in the kitchen of one of the restaurants! (She has since left the park).

A lot of the execs laid off from Disneyland (DL)have gone over there and have tried to re-vive it recently, I’ve been told. I haven’t been there but was going to go! I probably still will. I still remember getting their Boysenberry slushies when we were there back in the mid 80's. So, SO good! Hard to find fresh or frozen Boysenberries (or for that matter, Marionberries, also YUM) here in Texas.
Knott's Berry Farm was a whole lot of fun!

It's been 20 years since I've been there, but we had a season passes for Knott's and Disneyland for my daughter when we lived in Orange County.

Uuummmm yeah, I live n Va. Chief, Disney is in FL. I dont care much about amusement parks for 1 and couldn't care less about CA secondly. So yeah seriously.

2nd video about 2 minutes. So the shooting happened just outside the entrance (previous report I read) and everyone in the park exits... which i assume is near the entrance... so they are basically running toward where the shooting happened? confused.

When I was a small child (late 1950s/early 60s) we used to eat there at least one Sunday a month if not more. Back then it was a mostly Wild West/California Pioneer experience, and people eating at the restaurant could get in for the free or very low cost.
Somewhere there was a picture of me about age five with a little friend, we are next to an elderly lady with a spinning wheel. I am absolutely staring at it in fascination and even adoration on my little face while my friend looked bored out of her skull.
My Mom said about the time I got my third spinning wheel that it was obviously a prediction of things to come.
My favorite regular part of the trip was watching the "self-playing pianos" of which they had one of the largest collections in the country, most of the actual pieces that people brought West with them or ordered after they got some money saved up.
