Quake looks bad, but on east coast.
Some buildings are toppled over, seen a landslide video already.
Hsinchu where all the hightech stuff is, is up northwest and has the huge central mountain range as a buffer.
I personally don't expect much big news from firms like TSMC.

Our son and his wife have adopted a son from Taiwan, but have not been able to pick him up yet. They have been expecting the call any day. I pray that he is fine. I’m not sure exactly where he is in Taiwan.

The epicenter is Hualien on the east coast.
Anywhere else, but east coast, is likely fine.
