My first thought when I read this was "Eat food cooked by affirmative-action types, what do you expect?"

However, more seriously, I wonder if there was any chance of this being deliberate. (I think La Raza, N.O.W., the N.E.A., and any grouping of lawyers over four to be greater threats to the nation than the N.A.A.C.P., thus more seeable as push-back targets by someone tired of being diversified out of existence, but intelligent people can differ on many subjects.)

That's a good question.

As someone else here recently quipped, if you push Whitey hard enough, we're not going to riot or loot or destroy our own hard work. We will push back, and it won't be pretty.

Look for the race baiters to blame the white-boy food server for this. "The white boy tried to kill us", now send us money to make us feel better and the blacks and libtards will bend over backwards and send the $$$.

If they are recovering, then no worries. If they are still sick and are getting worse, then start worrying.

Dozens Attending NAACP Gala At Redwood City Hotel Sickened After Meal Of Salmon, Salad

REDWOOD CITY (KPIX 5) — More than 50 attendees attending an NAACP gala in Redwood City Saturday evening were sickened by a case of possible food poisoning.

At least twelve people were taken to local hospitals and treated for dehydration, according to the San Jose Mercury News. Several others transported themselves to hospitals.

Cynthia Adams, 2nd vice president of the Oakland NAACP, told KPIX 5 there may be as 100 people who became ill. The official said that she had to transport half a dozen kids to the hospital, and at least one of them is still hospitalized late Tuesday night.

Adams said among those hospitalized include former Oakland Mayor Elihu Harris.

More than 300 people attended the event, including former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, which was held at the grand ballroom of the Sofitel San Francisco Bay Hotel in Redwood City.

Guests became sick after a meal of salmon and salad, and reportedly were throwing up in the hotel lobby while firefighters and paramedics treated others.

Public health officials were investigating the source of the illness.

Sandra Pinto Duhamel of Accor Hotels, which operates the Sofitel, said in a statement, “While we do not know the cause of the illness, we are cooperating with Health Department officials at this time. We remain very concerned about the well-being of the guests who became sick and wish them a speedy recovery.”

They were throwing up in the hotel lobby?? That was fast. Can food poisoning happen that quickly? I thought it took several hours before you started throwing up.

My daughter's workplace had a catered luncheon last summer where there was food poisoning. The culprit was the salad: it was tainted with e coli.

It does take a few hours. I had food poisoning once from the mayo in one of those all you can eat shrimp places years ago. It took several hours to appear and it started with a lot of stomach gurgling and rumbling.

Just read that food poisoning from fish can happen in one hour.

Neither here nor there.
My daughter's workplace had a catered luncheon last summer where there was food poisoning. The culprit was the salad: it was tainted with e coli.

Experienced a really nasty bout of e coli food poisoning in 1998 ate at a supposedly really hip restaurant in Des Moines called Stella's. My friends wanted to go there because President Clinton had eaten there recently so it was all the rage for a few weeks. Eleven of us ended up with e coli food poisoning, mine wasn't as bad as the others because I ate only a small amount of my and BON very well done hamburger. Something was off with the burger so I stopped after two or three bites. What I remember of the whole experience was wanting to die I was so sick, I also had the headache from hell, which the ER docs said it was because of my kidneys. A couple of people in the party ended up in ICU and for quite some time.

Moral of the story, if it tastes off don't eat it!

Oh and Stella's is no longer in business, I think the ensuing lawsuits did them in.

Sooner depending on the type of fish and what was done with it, ie left out to sit on the counter for hours.

Somehow the lyrics from the Jeffersons theme song (Moving on up) seems appropriate.

Well we're movin on up,
To the east side.
To a deluxe apartment in the sky.
Movin on up,
To the east side.
We finally got a piece of the pie.

Fish don't fry in the kitchen;
Beans don't burn on the grill.
Took a whole lotta tryin',
Just to get up that hill.
Now we're up in the big leagues,
Gettin' our turn at bat.
As long as we live, it's you and me baby,
There ain't nothin wrong with that.

Well we're movin on up,
To the east side.
To a deluxe apartment in the sky.
Movin on up,
To the east side.
We finally got a piece of the pie.
