Does not make sense to me that they would use a city-buster that close to Moscow. Or even a tactical nuke. Just shut off the electricity in the middle of winter. No nuke necessary to end life in that or any other city. Without water and heat, no city in a northern climate is going to stay inhabitable. Which includes Europe and America.
Maybe so, but it was Medvedev's words.

Please stop with calling Trump, King Charles, etc., the Antichrist! Please?

The AC HAS to be a JEW--otherwise the nation of Israel will not mistake him for their MESSIAH (to be their Messiah, he'd HAVE to be JEWISH).

(except, of course, for the "replacement theory" people who think they are Jews b/c "God rejected Israel"--no Romans 11 in their Bible, I guess.)

I just get SO tired of hearing "Trump's the AC!" "Prince / King Charles is the AC!" when neither one can be.

Just please--either stop, or leave that in a REL sig thread......

/rant off/.....
no one is calling trump the antichrist I was only responding to the question asked he being a former president never had any war when he was in charge and was offering a way out what is wrong with that? :shr:

I think that the monumentally stupid first moment was when the Soviet Union created Ukraine as a separate communist state. And why in the world would it then gift it with Crimea? But it did. So Ukraine has been a synthetic state, much like Yugoslavia was from only very recent times, cobbled together from areas of disparate regions and historical evolutions. Not really a nation of a Virtually homogenous people and culture like virtually most nations as such. That the US-engineered and funded the “revolution” / coup in Kiev is beyond dispute, imho, replacing a Russian puppet with a US puppet. Kind of like the Soviet communists replaced a western puppet in Cuba with a Soviet Union puppet. Almost exactly like.

Wait, the godless USSR abandoned Atheistic communism, promoted a national return to worshipping the God of the Bible in their traditional Russian orthodox churches, and the godless Democrats took up the mantle Of atheistic communism, staged their own coup, quite clearly announced that they were the party of anti-God-of-the-Bible at one of their recent national DNC president-nominating confabs where they tried to eliminate the mention of God from their Party platform (it took several votes before they gave up trying to convince the party faithful to go for THAT bridge-to-far.

then staging a coup of their own right here by taking over the US through rigged elections, apparently and quite likely starting with who knows how long ago, probably at least since the Clintons, and maybe all the way back to Carter, or even possibly Johnson. Been nothing, except for Trump, but RINOS and DEMOS since, and the man-behind-the -curtain was exposed for all the world to see in the last totally rigged election.

is it stupid for God to wipe Babylon the Great off the world stage? he indicated 2000 years ago that that is going to happen...
And yet, Ukraine is still considered a sovereign state and Russia has manufactured the latest carving-table butchery there. As such, it's still wrong what they're doing, regardless of what is being done to us here.

I've said it before and I will say it again: Just because our government is doing us wrong does not mean that the moves of Russia are right, merely because the moves are at odds with our troublemakers. People gravitate to this black/white reasoning as a part of human nature, and smart enemies take advantage of this tendency. As much as I'd rather have Russia as a friend and not an enemy, right now we're in conflict. Russia is a smart enemy.

Sorry--since it was related to the earlier "peace and safety" post--and because I knew there are those here who are sure Trump "is" the AC, I thought that was where you were coming from.

As far as what Trump would have done, I totally agree with you. We would not be in this mess if a real man with a strong will and plain common sense was at the helm of the country that 'claims' to lead the world.

Our country's current 'rulers' are 'leading the world' straight over the cliff............

@Felix_Nuno picked up that Territorial Defense Forces are being stood up in St-Petersburg. Either the mobilization is going so poorly that they're working on extra ways to throw people into Ukraine, or they're expecting this conflict to widen. twlink

St. Petersburg deputy military commissar: A and B class reservists being called up for mobilization but *territorial defence units being formed* too and will be manned with B and even C class reservists.

Could this also be a translation issue? Strategic vs Tactical difference may be lost in the translation? I dunno..... I know 'nyet' about the Russian language.
I concede it may be possible. Given the extreme differences between the two, and delicacy of the situation, I have a difficult time accepting such a loose statement. Medvedev is not Joe Biden.

based on Biden's past performance, the position of his foot on the accelerator, and the distance to the cliff . . .
he will likely be successful

Former German Intelligence Chief Gerhard Schindler says that Russia carried out sabotage on Nord Stream

By claiming the pipelines themselves are defective, Russia can have a firmer pretext to block gas shipments than replaceable parts, such as turbines

Notice that the article was published on September 13, 2022?

Well before the pipeline "leaks".

It would sure help explain the sudden Afghanistan pullout.

Our fearless leader and uni-party had to prepare for the conclusion of their planned "Ukraine - Russia" operation, initiated in Obama's glorious reign.

I thought they wanted the downfall of Russia, did not realize it could also be the downfall of Europe they desired.

US Senate approves $12 billion in new aid for Ukraine - Insider Paper
AFP
2 minutes

The US Senate approved $12 billion in new economic and military aid for Ukraine Thursday as part of a stopgap extension of the federal budget into December.

The measure, agreed by senators of both parties, includes $3 billion for arms, supplies and salaries for Ukraine’s military, and authorizes President Joe Biden to direct the US Defense Department to take $3.7 billion worth of its own weapons and materiel to provide Ukraine.

It also provides $4.5 billion for Kyiv to keep the country’s finances stable and keep the government running, providing services to the Ukrainian people.

It comes as Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to declare the annexation of parts of Ukraine occupied by Russian troops on Friday.

“Seven months since the conflict began, it’s crystal clear that American assistance has gone a long way to helping the Ukrainian people resist Putin’s evil, vicious aggression,” said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

“But the fight is far from over, and we must, we must, continue helping the brave, valiant Ukrainian people.”

The Ukraine aid is part of a short-term extension of the federal budget, which is to expire at the end of the fiscal year on September 30 without the parties in Congress having agreed to a full-year allocation for fiscal 2022-23.

The extension, or continuing resolution, will keep the government running into December, but it has to first be approved by the House of Representatives to avoid shutting down parts of the government on Monday.

TBILISI/LONDON, Sept 30 (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday blamed the United States and its allies for blowing up the undersea Nord Stream pipelines, raising the temperature in a crisis that has left Europe racing to secure its energy infrastructure and supplies.

In a speech to mark the annexation of four Ukrainian regions invaded by Russian forces, Putin offered no evidence for the claim. Russia has previously said the United States would profit from attacks on Europe's energy infrastructure.

"The sanctions were not enough for the Anglo-Saxons: they moved onto sabotage," Putin said. "It is hard to believe but it is a fact that they organised the blasts on the Nord Stream international gas pipelines."

"They began to destroy the pan-European energy infrastructure," Putin said. "It is clear to everyone who benefits from this. Of course, he who benefits did it."

Putin's accusation is likely to be strongly resisted by European countries. The United States, which has said it was too early to confirm it was sabotage, has dismissed talk it was responsible.

European Union states, once heavily reliant on Russia and now trying to find alternative gas supplies, say they believe leaks were caused by sabotage, but have stopped short of naming anyone. They are racing to secure other energy infrastructure.

The Nord Stream pipelines, which were not pumping gas to Europe when the leaks were found but had gas in them, have been flashpoints in an energy standoff between the West and Russia since its invasion of Ukraine, fuelling a cost-of-living crisis.

The European Union is still investigating how Russia's Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines burst this week, draining gas into the Baltic Sea off the coast of Denmark and Sweden. Seismologists registered explosions in the area.

Gas will continue to pour out of Nord Stream 1 until Sunday, the Danish energy agency said on Friday, though the leak on Nord Stream 2 is expected to cease on Saturday. read more

The pipeline incident has prompted European countries to step up vigilance over other critical infrastructure, which looks suddenly much more vulnerable.

That includes the TransMed pipeline, which connects Algeria to Sicily, the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) running from Azerbaijan to Apulia, and the GreenStream connection between Libya and Sicily.

Rome also raised its alert on the Trans Austria Gas (TAG) pipeline that brings fuel from the Nordics to the north-east of Italy.

Poland's electricity grid operator on Friday meanwhile announced checks on an undersea cable carrying power from Sweden that crosses the damaged Nord Stream pipelines.

There is also heightened focus on the Baltic Pipe, a project that was unveiled this week. A rival to the Nord Stream network, the Baltic Pipe will transport gas to the Danish and Polish markets and end-users in neighbouring countries from Oct. 1.

"The risk to near-term gas flows has risen sharply on fears that further sabotage could occur on critical gas import pipelines," said a note from Fitch Solutions, citing the Baltic Pipeline.

"The possibility of additional acts of sabotage on critical infrastructure is a growing risk that would raise the risk of tipping the war into a wider regional conflict."

The shocking document: How the US planned the war and the energy crisis in Europe

THE LEAKED RAND DOCUMENT

In what appears to be an exceptional internal leak from the close-to-government think tank RAND Corporation, known among other things to have been behind American strategy for foreign and defense policy during the Cold War, a detailed account is given of how the energy crisis in Europe was planned by the United States.

The document, dated January, acknowledges that the aggressive foreign policy pursued in Ukraine will pressure Russia into having to intervene militarily in the country. The purpose, they explain, is to introduce a sanctions package that has been prepared for a long time.

The EU's economy, it states, "will inevitably collapse" as a result of this - and it rejoices, among other things, that resources up to 9000 billion dollars can flow to the United States, and that well-educated European youth will be forced to emigrate.

The main goal they describe is to divide Europe - especially Germany and Russia - and destroy the European economy by getting useful idiots in politics to stop Russian energy supplies to the continent.

PUBLISHED SEPTEMBER 13, 2022 - BY ISAAC BOMAN

As the first newspaper in Europe, Nya Dagbladet can publish what appears to be the USA's classified plans to crush the European economy with a war in Ukraine and an induced energy crisis. An English version of the article has been published here.

The RAND think tank , which has a total of 1850 employees with a budget of 350 million dollars, has the official purpose of "improving policy and decision-making through research and analysis". It is primarily connected to the Department of Defense in the United States and is notorious for having been influential in developing military and other strategy during the Cold War.

In a Document signed by RAND, under the opening heading "Weaken Germany, strengthen the USA", it is believed that there is an "urgent need" for an influx of resources from outside to maintain the American economy in general, but "in particular to the banking system".

" Only European countries bound by EU and NATO commitments can provide us with these without significant military and political costs ."

The biggest obstacle to this according to RAND is the growing independence of Germany. Among other things, it is pointed out that Brexit has given Germany greater independence and made it more difficult for the US to influence the decisions of European governments.

A key goal that pervades the cynical strategy is above all to destroy the cooperation between Germany and Russia, and also France.

" If it comes to fruition, it would make Europe not only an economic, but also a political competitor to the United States ," it declares.

Only way: "Drag both sides into war in Ukraine"

To crush this political threat, a strategic plan is presented which is primarily aimed at destroying the German economy.

" Stopping Russian supplies could create a systematic crisis that would be devastating for the German economy and indirectly for the entire EU ", they state, and believe that the key is to drag Europe's countries into war.

" The only possible way to ensure that Germany rejects Russian energy supplies is to draw both sides into the military conflict in Ukraine. Our continued actions in this country will inevitably lead to a military response from Russia. Russia is clearly not going to leave the massive Ukrainian army's pressure on the Donbass republics without a military response. It would make it possible to portray Russia as the aggressive party and then apply the entire already prepared package of sanctions ".

Green parties will make Germany "fall into the trap"

In particular, green parties in Europe are described as easy to manipulate to do the business of American imperialism.

" The prerequisite for Germany to fall into this trap is the leading role of green parties and ideologies in Europe. The German environmental movement is a strongly dogmatic, if not fanatical, movement, which makes it quite easy to get them to ignore economic arguments ," it writes, citing the current foreign minister of Germany, Annalena Baerbock, and the climate minister, Robert Habeck, as examples of this type of politician. .

" Personal characteristics and lack of professionalism make it possible to assume that it is impossible for them to admit their own mistakes in time. Thus, it will be enough to quickly shape a media image of Putin's aggressive war - and to make the Greens into ardent and tough supporters of sanctions - a "party of war". It will make it possible to impose the sanctions without any obstacles ".

Among other things, Baerbock has made a name for herself by declaring that she will maintain the stoppage of Russian gas even during the winter - regardless of what her constituents think about the matter and what the consequences are for the German population.

- We stay with Ukraine and that means that the sanctions will stay, also in winter - even if it will be very tough for politicians , she said at a conference in Prague recently.

"At best a total stop"

The authors express a hope that the damage between Germany and Russia will be so great that it will be impossible for the countries to re-establish normal relations later.

" A reduction in Russian energy supplies – at best a total stop – would lead to catastrophic consequences for German industry. The need to set aside significant amounts of Russian gas to keep homes and public buildings heated during the winter will further exacerbate the shortages. Shutdowns in industry will cause a shortage of components and spare parts for manufacturing, a collapse of logistics chains and sooner or later a domino effect ".

Ultimately, a complete collapse of Europe's economy is seen as both probable and desirable.

" Not only will this deliver a crushing blow to the German economy, the entire EU economy will inevitably collapse ."

They further point out the advantages of US-based companies having less competition on the world market, logistical advantages and the outflow of capital from Europe, it is estimated that it will be able to benefit the US economy by 7-9 trillion dollars. In addition, the important effect that many well-educated and young Europeans will be forced to emigrate to the USA is also emphasized.

RAND denies the origin of the report

On Wednesday, RAND issued a press release denying that the report originated with them. On the other hand, there is no response regarding how the report is false or what would not be true, but simply write that you see the content as "bizarre" and that the document is "false".

Old news, and fake.
