You're right about the gay hillbilly. For one thing, Ukraine is not a member of NATO. I doubt it ever will be, whatever's left of it when the dust settles.

The second thing is that - to my knowledge or recollection, anyway - I don't remember any Russian member of Duma spouting off that Bai-Den should be assassinated, but that's exactly what that idiot Graham opined about Putin several months ago.

So we are basically trying to bust up the Russia/China axis. If Kazakhstan is what bridges them, and we are paid them off to rebel, plus throwing billions at the Ukes, (several times over)its fairly obvious, and it’s getting scary.

Sure looks like WW3 to me. Things should have been deescalating by now. Instead it’s ramping up.

They want Russia to throw a nuke, that terrifies everyone, justifies anything they do, and certainly takes eyes off the election. Infact, they keep talking about nukes so much that I get the feeling if Russia does not throw one, then we will, and blame it on them.

In other words, it’s happening one way or the other.

This list was updated today by DEFCON WARNING SYSTEMS. They claim it is from http://www.ki4u.com/guide.htm which is our very own Shane, so I thought I'd throw it all here, in case any of us were interested. Lots of info on Shanes' site, so poke around if you've not done so already. . . *I wouldn't necessarily take the supplies list as gosple, but it is offered as a jumping off point for your own thoughts/lists.

Basic Supplies Needed In The Event of Nuclear Attack
1 min ago
by DEFCON Warning System
Written by DEFCON Warning System

The DEFCON Warning System advises citizens in the Ukraine theatre being preparing in the event of a nuclear attack.

There is no cause for alarm, and there is no imminent nuclear threat at this time. This is only advisory.

In additional to shelter, supplies are needed. A shelter without supplies is not a shelter but a tomb.

The following list comes from ki4u.com

This list provides only for short-term survival. Likely you will need to expand this list to survive longer than the 2-3 days this list provides for.

Better to risk being a little early when securing your families essential food and supplies, rather than a few hours too late and going home empty-handed…

Ready-to-eat foods (granola/energy/protein bars, snack-paks, raisins, cheese, etc.)
Some perishable foods (breads and fruits like bananas, apples, oranges, grapes, etc.)
Canned goods (soups, chili, vegetables, fruit, tuna, meats, beans, peanut butter, etc.)
Assorted drink mix flavorings (with no cold drinks, just plain water, kids will appreciate it!)
Plenty of potent Multi-Vitamins, Vit C, Pepto Bismol, aspirin, tylenol, other OTC meds, etc.
Iodine solution, like Betadine (16 ounces)- NOT TO BE INGESTED OR SWALLOWED!

Largest sacks of rice, beans, flour, potatoes, pasta, quick oats and other grains
Multiple big boxes of dried milk (Could include/use some inside shelter, too.)
Multiple big boxes of pancake and biscuit mix & syrup
Large bag of sugar and jar of honey
Large 2 gallons or more of cooking oil
Baking powder & soda & yeast & salt & spice assortment pack
Bottled water (especially if home supplies not secured yet)

Paper or plastic plates/bowls/cups/utensils and paper towels
Quality manual can opener, 2 if you don’t already have one at home
Kitchen matches and disposable lighters
New metal garbage cans and liner bags (water storage & waste storage)
5 or 6 gallon bucket and smaller garbage bags sized for it (toilet)
Pool noodle to cut slit lengthwise to fit as seat for toilet bucket
Toilet paper and, if needed, sanitary napkins, diapers, etc.
Baby wipes (saves water for personal hygiene use)
Flashlights (ideally LED) and more than one portable radio
Plenty more batteries, at least three sets, for each of the above
Bleach (5.25%, without fragrance or soap additives)
Alcohol and Hydrogen Peroxide and hand sanitizers
Prescription drugs filled, and as much extra as possible
First aid kits and Fire extinguishers
At least a couple inexpensive N95 particulate respirator masks for each member
Cheap plastic hooded rain ponchos for everyone
Water filters and all other camping type supplies, such as portable camp toilet,
cook stove and fuel, ammo, etc., if any sporting goods stocks still available.
And, of course, rolls of plastic sheeting, duct tape, staple guns, staples, etc.

Now running for Emperor.
This is not about "cheering" for a death of the enemy .... this is about finding the death of the enemy entertaining and laughable.

That is my point.

It is not the integral part of the human condition to find the death of an enemy entertaining and laughable. To cheer the death of the enemy is not at all the same.

I would say the vast majority of the human race would agree with that these days.
Humans have been entertained by death for as long as there have been humans. Executions, gladiators, war, movies, books, artwork, clothing, jewelry; as a species, we are about as addicted to death as we are to sex.

Frankly, I don't think stealing part of my antagonistic neighbor's garage would be the solution.

That being said, you're missing the point. Russia enforces a vote that is miraculously uniform and almost 100% in Russia's favor, so it decides to say that a big chunk of a sovereign country is now part of Russia. You KNOW that the sovereign country is going to disagree and has already shown a propensity to fight for their sovereignty. And the sovereign country has friends to back them up.

You know this, I know this. And by God Putin frikking knows this. All this does is guarantee escalated conflict. That's why this is stupid. The only possible intention is to extend the fighting, or worse, give causus belli for Russia to do more, because they will now claim THEIR sovereignty is being attacked.

And to be fair, to take some of the burden of the future off of Putin's shoulders, nobody is doing much to stop the fighting on any side. This is just more stupid added onto a burning pyre of the stuff.
I think that the monumentally stupid first moment was when the Soviet Union created Ukraine as a separate communist state. And why in the world would it then gift it with Crimea? But it did. So Ukraine has been a synthetic state, much like Yugoslavia was from only very recent times, cobbled together from areas of disparate regions and historical evolutions. Not really a nation of a Virtually homogenous people and culture like virtually most nations as such. That the US-engineered and funded the “revolution” / coup in Kiev is beyond dispute, imho, replacing a Russian puppet with a US puppet. Kind of like the Soviet communists replaced a western puppet in Cuba with a Soviet Union puppet. Almost exactly like.

Wait, the godless USSR abandoned Atheistic communism, promoted a national return to worshipping the God of the Bible in their traditional Russian orthodox churches, and the godless Democrats took up the mantle Of atheistic communism, staged their own coup, quite clearly announced that they were the party of anti-God-of-the-Bible at one of their recent national DNC president-nominating confabs where they tried to eliminate the mention of God from their Party platform (it took several votes before they gave up trying to convince the party faithful to go for THAT bridge-too-far.

then staging a coup of their own right here by taking over the US through rigged elections, apparently and quite likely starting with who knows how long ago, probably at least since the Clintons, and maybe all the way back to Carter, or even possibly Johnson. Been nothing, except for Trump, but RINOS and DEMOS since, and the man-behind-the -curtain was exposed for all the world to see in the last totally rigged election.

is it stupid for God to wipe Babylon the Great off the world stage? he indicated 2000 years ago that that is going to happen...

A fire has broken out at the second reactor of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant
Ukraine says that the fire was triggered by a Russian landmine which builds on Russia's persistent shelling of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant

Update: Guardian: UN chief says Russian annexation marks ‘dangerous escalation’
Riiight, the Russians are mining and firing on the nuclear plant that they are in control of. What rubbish!

Yes, agreed in general. The strategic instead of tactical, that wigs me right the hell out.
Does not make sense to me that they would use a city-buster that close to Moscow. Or even a tactical nuke. Just shut off the electricity in the middle of winter. No nuke necessary to end life in that or any other city. Without water and heat, no city in a northern climate is going to stay inhabitable. Which includes Europe and America.

It appears that one of the last gas pipelines into Europe may be out of commission as the EU struggles to find yet another way to commit suicide LOL

the EU revoked the Turkstream license without warning

"Throughout 2022, the European Union periodically imposed additional sanctions aimed at restricting companies’ exports of materials, technology and services supporting Russia’s activities. As a result of new sanctions on September 18, 2022, the export license of South Stream Transport B.V., the operator of the TurkStream offshore gas pipeline, through which Russian gas is transported via the Black Sea for consumers in Turkey and European countries, was prematurely revoked," the company said. An official notification has been submitted by the Netherlands’ authorities citing the ban on supplies of goods and provision of services, particularly technical assistance and maintenance, for use in Russia, including its exclusive economic zone and continental shelf.

basically wholesale gas prices in europe are now about 10 times higher than they are in the US

you can look up prevailing winds on windy . com
looks like winds from east, Kiev, zaporizhzhia, go directly north to moscow
winds in the west. Lviv, go to Poland

Russia's problem with Ukraine isn't Ukraine . . . its the US.
If you are going to use a nuke, you have to get to the root cause not surface blemishes and symptoms.

and Russia implicates the US in NordStream sabotage - because - well - they did that before

“Pretty much from the first minutes after the news of the explosions broke … the West launched an active campaign for assigning blame. But it is obvious that the primary beneficiary, first of all in the economic sense, was the US,” Nikolay Patrushev said on Friday.

He compared this week’s incident with the attack on Nicaragua’s oil infrastructure in Puerto Sandino in 1983. Back then CIA officers, based on a ship moored in international waters, coordinated a raid by commandos they had trained to fight against the Sandinista government, US press reported at the time. The US spy agency also provided speed boats for the raid, a CIA source explained, according to Associated Press.

The operation was part of the Reagan administration’s “dirty war” on Nicaragua, which later led to the Iran-Contras scandal. The CIA’s secret sale of weapons to Iran to fund Latin American militants was exposed in 1986.

Patrushev made the remarks at a meeting with fellow security officials from former Soviet nations.

“It appears to be necessary to coordinate our effort to expose the masterminds and executors of this crime, setting a good example for effective cooperation,” he told his counterparts.

(snipped)

The EU could have easily ensured access to reliable gas supplies at affordable prices but is now dependent on the costly spot market instead. Even today, while European officials trot the globe for new gas volumes, they are refusing to sign long-term contracts with the courted producers. Last week was a case in point: Two years into Europe’s energy crisis and seven months into Russia’s war in Ukraine, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz returned from a trip to Qatar and the United Arab Emirates with an agreement for only a single tanker-load of liquefied natural gas instead of the long term supplies the country desperately needs to keep its citizens warm and factories running.

(snip)

Despite the math, the data, and a two-year-old energy crisis that has sharply worsened since Russia invaded Ukraine in February, European policymakers continue to follow each other like sheep. As if the energy crisis weren’t happening, the Netherlands announced this week that it will continue to reduce gas production at the massive Groningen field. Germany is sticking to its fracking ban and nuclear phaseout, while Belgium shut down a nuclear power plant last week that provides a significant share of the country’s electricity needs—even as Belgians protest in the streets against skyrocketing energy prices. These countries might instead take their cue from Liz Truss, the new British prime minister: One of her first announcements after taking office was a new energy policy, including a renewal of offshore oil and gas exploration and a reversal of her country’s fracking ban.

ok. i am on the ground here. and when you get into levels of societal adherence to Christianity, and posit current russia as some sort of ideal, i have to disagree with personal experience.

i have to tell you that Ukraine is just about the most Christian country I can imagine.

People literally pray on the streets before statures, cross, churches. not everyone, but more ordinary people i have seen anywhere i have ever been.

Sergei Karaganov says that he is 99% sure that the U.S. will not retaliate if Russia launched a nuclear strike on a NATO country that supports Ukraine

Karaganov's scenario appears to be in relation to Poland, as he says it would take a "madman" in the White House who "hates America" to sacrifice Boston for Poznan Karaganov has made similar claims in the past about Article 5 of NATO having little practical value

By retaliation, he is referring explicitly to a nuclear strike-back
Poland has said that NATO will respond conventionally to a nuclear strike from Russia on Ukraine but a strike on NATO territory would presumably allow for a nuclear response from the U.S.

Won't there be someone coming on the world stage to proclaim, "peace and safety?"
Please stop with calling Trump, King Charles, etc., the Antichrist! Please?

The AC HAS to be a JEW--otherwise the nation of Israel will not mistake him for their MESSIAH (to be their Messiah, he'd HAVE to be JEWISH).

(except, of course, for the "replacement theory" people who think they are Jews b/c "God rejected Israel"--no Romans 11 in their Bible, I guess.)

I just get SO tired of hearing "Trump's the AC!" "Prince / King Charles is the AC!" when neither one can be.

Just please--either stop, or leave that in a REL sig thread......

The shocking document: How the US planned the war and the energy crisis in Europe

THE LEAKED RAND DOCUMENT

In what appears to be an exceptional internal leak from the close-to-government think tank RAND Corporation, known among other things to have been behind American strategy for foreign and defense policy during the Cold War, a detailed account is given of how the energy crisis in Europe was planned by the United States.

The document, dated January, acknowledges that the aggressive foreign policy pursued in Ukraine will pressure Russia into having to intervene militarily in the country. The purpose, they explain, is to introduce a sanctions package that has been prepared for a long time.

The EU's economy, it states, "will inevitably collapse" as a result of this - and it rejoices, among other things, that resources up to 9000 billion dollars can flow to the United States, and that well-educated European youth will be forced to emigrate.

The main goal they describe is to divide Europe - especially Germany and Russia - and destroy the European economy by getting useful idiots in politics to stop Russian energy supplies to the continent.

PUBLISHED SEPTEMBER 13, 2022 - BY ISAAC BOMAN

As the first newspaper in Europe, Nya Dagbladet can publish what appears to be the USA's classified plans to crush the European economy with a war in Ukraine and an induced energy crisis. An English version of the article has been published here.

The RAND think tank , which has a total of 1850 employees with a budget of 350 million dollars, has the official purpose of "improving policy and decision-making through research and analysis". It is primarily connected to the Department of Defense in the United States and is notorious for having been influential in developing military and other strategy during the Cold War.

In a Document signed by RAND, under the opening heading "Weaken Germany, strengthen the USA", it is believed that there is an "urgent need" for an influx of resources from outside to maintain the American economy in general, but "in particular to the banking system".

" Only European countries bound by EU and NATO commitments can provide us with these without significant military and political costs ."

The biggest obstacle to this according to RAND is the growing independence of Germany. Among other things, it is pointed out that Brexit has given Germany greater independence and made it more difficult for the US to influence the decisions of European governments.

A key goal that pervades the cynical strategy is above all to destroy the cooperation between Germany and Russia, and also France.

" If it comes to fruition, it would make Europe not only an economic, but also a political competitor to the United States ," it declares.

Only way: "Drag both sides into war in Ukraine"

To crush this political threat, a strategic plan is presented which is primarily aimed at destroying the German economy.

" Stopping Russian supplies could create a systematic crisis that would be devastating for the German economy and indirectly for the entire EU ", they state, and believe that the key is to drag Europe's countries into war.

" The only possible way to ensure that Germany rejects Russian energy supplies is to draw both sides into the military conflict in Ukraine. Our continued actions in this country will inevitably lead to a military response from Russia. Russia is clearly not going to leave the massive Ukrainian army's pressure on the Donbass republics without a military response. It would make it possible to portray Russia as the aggressive party and then apply the entire already prepared package of sanctions ".

Green parties will make Germany "fall into the trap"

In particular, green parties in Europe are described as easy to manipulate to do the business of American imperialism.

" The prerequisite for Germany to fall into this trap is the leading role of green parties and ideologies in Europe. The German environmental movement is a strongly dogmatic, if not fanatical, movement, which makes it quite easy to get them to ignore economic arguments ," it writes, citing the current foreign minister of Germany, Annalena Baerbock, and the climate minister, Robert Habeck, as examples of this type of politician. .

" Personal characteristics and lack of professionalism make it possible to assume that it is impossible for them to admit their own mistakes in time. Thus, it will be enough to quickly shape a media image of Putin's aggressive war - and to make the Greens into ardent and tough supporters of sanctions - a "party of war". It will make it possible to impose the sanctions without any obstacles ".

Among other things, Baerbock has made a name for herself by declaring that she will maintain the stoppage of Russian gas even during the winter - regardless of what her constituents think about the matter and what the consequences are for the German population.

- We stay with Ukraine and that means that the sanctions will stay, also in winter - even if it will be very tough for politicians , she said at a conference in Prague recently.

"At best a total stop"

The authors express a hope that the damage between Germany and Russia will be so great that it will be impossible for the countries to re-establish normal relations later.

" A reduction in Russian energy supplies – at best a total stop – would lead to catastrophic consequences for German industry. The need to set aside significant amounts of Russian gas to keep homes and public buildings heated during the winter will further exacerbate the shortages. Shutdowns in industry will cause a shortage of components and spare parts for manufacturing, a collapse of logistics chains and sooner or later a domino effect ".

Ultimately, a complete collapse of Europe's economy is seen as both probable and desirable.

" Not only will this deliver a crushing blow to the German economy, the entire EU economy will inevitably collapse ."

They further point out the advantages of US-based companies having less competition on the world market, logistical advantages and the outflow of capital from Europe, it is estimated that it will be able to benefit the US economy by 7-9 trillion dollars. In addition, the important effect that many well-educated and young Europeans will be forced to emigrate to the USA is also emphasized.

RAND denies the origin of the report

On Wednesday, RAND issued a press release denying that the report originated with them. On the other hand, there is no response regarding how the report is false or what would not be true, but simply write that you see the content as "bizarre" and that the document is "false".

On the other hand, there is no response regarding how the report is false or what would not be true, but simply write that you see the content as "bizarre" and that the document is "false".

well, that release was exceptionally bad timing

Therefore, the publication of the RAND document holds up despite criticism from "independent fact-checkers"

THE LEAKED RAND DOCUMENT

Nya Dagbladet last week published a document that appears to have been leaked from the high-profile government-linked American think tank RAND Corporation. According to information given to the newspaper, the document must originate from the German intelligence service, information that has not been able to be confirmed.

At the time of writing, the editors have not come to the attention of any serious independent review, which speaks convincingly against the document being genuine. Yesterday, Facebook's Censorship of the newspaper's English-language version of the original article kicked in and severely limits, or completely prevents, the information about the leaked document from being shared and disseminated between users on the platform.

Facebook has not made any own assessment of the document or Nya Dagbladet's publication. Nor has the "independent fact-checker" that Facebook refers to and justifies its censorship with reviewed the document, but uses the simple pretext that the document is "fake" because the organization from which the document is supposed to have leaked, i.e. RAND, themselves claim that it is false .

You have to look for a simpler form of "fact review".

\A somewhat more serious attempt has been made by the British fact- checking company Logically , and they will publish their review of Nya Dagbladet's publication tomorrow.

Nya Dagbladet was contacted during the day by the group who claimed to have "proof" that the document was fake. When the editors asked to see the documentation, we received the following response:

" Our basis can be found in the report. There are several typos and grammatical errors, but also factual errors such as referring to "The Congress and the Senate" and to Covid lockdowns that never happened in the United States. In addition, the rights page refers to a URL link as if it were produced for a public report, despite the fact that it was allegedly confidential. It indicates that it was copied in only ".

What has been presented so far appears rather to be indications in different directions, which one can understandably speculate about.

Whether the US would have shutdowns during covid-19 is a matter of definition. Extensive restrictions can be seen as a form of shutdown which took place on a large scale. Something that USA Today summarizes in this Article .

We have been clear in our publications that the documents appear to be leaked documents from the organization in question. Nowhere have we claimed to have proof of its complete authenticity or origin. We judged that the document, given its content and design, could not be dismissed as a fabrication and considered it newsworthy with the aforementioned reservation that we cannot vouch for its complete authenticity. Something we were done with.

Should it turn out that the document is fabricated and planted with disinformation, that in itself is also serious and newsworthy.

RAND themselves have not commented on what in the report is incorrect or in what way the document would be false. The manner in which the document was dismissed, on the contrary, rather strengthens the indications in the direction of its authenticity. If the document is authentic, there is no way an organization like RAND could ever admit that it came from them, especially given the serious nature of the document in question. So far, we have not heard of any serious external review of the document and in what way it would have been false.

It would be surprising if Logically's "report" contains any substantial evidence other than speculative circumstantial evidence. At the same time, it is of course in the interest of the newspaper that the document receives a serious and external review and that the truth about the document's origin is finally revealed.

The question is most immediately whether dubious actors, such as "Lead Stories" and the rather anonymous group "Logically", have neither the capacity nor the interest to investigate such questions, when a positive outcome of the investigation would put the incumbent power to a great burden, to put it mildly.
