Oh, man…this is the kind of thing that topples civilizations!

It says going to a lab, but from where? Another lab?

Sure, they may die from exposure if they’re not caught before that, but in the interim, they’ll bite

“several species of small furry animals gathered together in a cave…”

And the virus will spread and mutate and transmit to humans…

Not far from me. Hope they freeze to death tonight. It's going to be very cold here. Better that than where they're headed.

Greetings, summerkitchen. I’m nearby, too, less than an hour’s drive West of the monkey spill.

In honor of Nowski (may he be doing well tonight) let me just say that those monkeys will be easy to spot. :dvl1:

Here is the demographic for Danville, PA:

I'm about 20 miles east of Danville. This demographic is going to change "hugely" if they keep unloading planes at the WB Scranton airport in the dark of night and putting them on buses to who knows where!

They won't last to long as its well below freezing now and not sure on that location but I'm many miles south of them and we're forecast for an over night low of 4F.

Won't be much better for them if they make it through tonight. Supposed to stay below freezing tomorrow, drop to sub-zero tomorrow night and then stay below freezing for all but a few hours all week.

I'm just north of Scranton... And I cannot believe how the demographics have changed in just the part few years...

As for the monkeys I know it is a better faith for them to not make it to the lab but my heart breaks for them being in this cold and probably terrified.

Several monkeys are missing after a truck carrying about 100 of the creatures to a laboratory was involved in a crash Friday in Pennsylvania.

Authorities are searching for at least three of the monkeys that appeared to have escaped the vehicle.

The truck carrying the primates collided with a dump truck in Montour County, Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Andrea Pelachick told the Daily Item.

The truck had been on its way to a lab, Ms Pelachick said.
Authorities have asked residents who might see the monkeys to call state police.
It is unclear if any people or animals were injured in the crash.
