So far only three east-coast banks are showing up in the FDIC Failed Banks list - for TODAY!
As five O'Clock passes with the sun heading westward, I guess we will be able to see if maybe some folks were given warning and made their withdrawals before the official listing was made public knowledge!

Bank robbery maybe? She might have just driven by, or was trying to go to the bank? She probably got there right after it re-opened? Just guessing.

sorry, was on cell phone and battery went dead. I dr4ove by the bank on the way to the airport in Spokane. There was a long line outside the bank and police were there watching the line. No emergency traffic so probably no robbery. Drove by again 15min later (after a local bathroom stop) and the line was still there. At around 1:42 in the afternoon, it seemed a little odd for a time for everyone to be cashing their checks or having a policman watch the line. It was US Bank branch in Reardon, WA.

That was my worry. Here I was about 110 miles from home, and I see what looks like a bank run, and I think, oh no, TS has HTF!! It still seems strange that the line would be there at that time of the afternoon. Not lunch hour and not after 4:30, and this was a line waiting to get INTO the bank. The parking lot was packed.

I recently had to get a new cellphone, unfortunately I am having a dickens of a time finding a car charger for it, it does not use the standard charging connector like my old phone. Those power cords to charge your cellphone in the car are so handy they have saved my bacon more than once!
