It is pretty presumptuous to declare the tweet of the week, let alone Tweet of the Year, but our UN Ambassador Nikki Haley is making a strong bid with this tweet today:

Take names and kick ass, I say. Haley is making a strong bid to be ranked alongside Daniel Patrick Moynihan and Jeane Kirkpatrick as the best UN ambassadors of the postwar era. Which means one big thing: Nikki Haley 2024!

First of all, she's doing what Trump wants her to do, and being loyal to him and his vision, which is good. On her own, I don't trust her to make good decisions because of what she has said and done in the past. She might grow into sense and principle, it's a possibility.

Who/what is grooming her? I don't get that. Trump isn't grooming her as he is not an establishment entity.

Texas won't be enough to get her a job. Trump only won because he had the full South behind him. One hiccup against Southerners and he would have never made it. Haley is a bigot against Southerners.

Then again, many places in the South are not Southern any more due to the influx of of people that have shit in their own homes and looking for a clean place to live.

We'll just have to agree to disagree ...... I think she 'd have no problem winning the south....... and this is from a native Texan with lineage back to NC ...... had most of my ancestors fighting for the Confederacy (none had slaves .... they were all dirt poor farmers mainly) and a few on the Northern side (the preacher, Baptist of course, side of the family).

The last two generations are snowflake Dems. Study the 2016 election and note that every county with a college/university went Democrat. These are the voters of the future. The Boomer generation is dying off. Those are mainly conservative voters going to the afterlife. They'll be replaced by snowflakes and immigrants. And, the coup de grace: the Dems won't be complacent. They'll have the energy and motivation of rabid anti-Trump animals. Nikki Haley, Mike Pence, take your pick. Republicans lose. We can resurrect this thread in 4 years if we are fortunate enough to be alive, unnuked, and still holding elections.

Alabama is majority registered Repubs and if they stay home instead of voting like they did in our special election, the Dems will win., just like they did here. Now I am stuck with a horrible Dem Senator until at least Jan 2021. He can do a lot of damage in that time.

No, it's not. I know at least three counties in Alabama that went Repub during the 2016 election that have Universities. Tuscaloosa County (home of University of Alabama ....Roll Tide) being one of them. 58.4% R and 38.9% D

Same can be said for Indiana too and I'm sure there were other states besides those two.
