Has anyone seen those chocolate oranges that you split into slice anywhere? I have been to over a dozen stores in the last week and cant find them. My Christmas tradition has always been to get them last minute for stocking stuffers.

Early in the season I'm pretty sure Targets here had them, but once they're gone, apparently they are gone. Not much restocking of Christmas items was happening anywhere around here.

Been hard to find for a long time now. We used to hand them around at Christmas, but then Terry's stopped sending them to the states and alternatives became fewer and fewer.

Terry's still sends them to the states! I have hidden one from my granddaughter to be put in the toe of her stocking! Shhhhh!

Walmart had lots of them, even the most delectable DARK chocolate ones, as late as a week ago. Don't know about now, though.

I was thinking of the larger Lindt squares. I like to have one of those with several cubes of cheese and Twinings Chai tea as a treat. Tonight, it's hot chocolate with a shot of Bailey's.

I have to confess after having some Hungarian ghoulash, that finishing off the bottom of a bottle of Wild Turkey 101 was quite nice. But yes, you can't go wrong with Lindt anything.

Got mine in my stocking this evening (we open gifts Christmas Eve)
they seemed smaller this year than I remember. I've gotten one every Christmas as long as I can remember (and I'm getting pretty old) Gotta get them early.

This too shall pass.
It's been many years since I had one of those oranges -- I'm going to add one to my next Amazon order.

Just got a dark chocolate one at Walgreens yesterday. Plenty of milk chocolate ones there too. Never had one til DW introduced them to me - was apparently a standard treat in Germany (at least at Hahn AFB).

We do chocolate fountains at the fancy hotels once in awhile. You just dip your favorite fruit(strawberry, pineapple, watermelon) into the chocolate. They all taste great, but I have never heard of oranges.

BTW, if you get to clean it up afterwards, it's a mess.

I've made chocolate dipped strawberries several times (not with a chocolate fountain); it is messy but a lot of fun, and they sure taste good!
