I am a fairly level headed individual, not prone to reacting with out thinking. I am over 50, and my kids are raised. If similar actions are taken CONUS, I will happily forfeit my life, and take as many of the Thugs with me when I go.

I swore an oath to defend this nation against all enemies, foreign and domestic... The Ausies gave up their guns, for the betterment of society. They are giving up their freedoms, for the betterment of society. This rings with all the similarities of the progression of the German spiral into Nazism. The lunacy that is acceptable for the left wingers, is NOT acceptable to me. I will not live my life in fear. God knows the hour and day of my death, I will choose to live my life maintaining the principals of Christianity and freedom upon which I was raised, and will defend those so that my children and their offspring my enjoy the life that I had. I hope that there are enough who believe as I do, but if not, I will be at peace with my choices, as living under tyrannical conditions is not peaceful or free.

On Date December 4, 2021UNHERD: Hayley Hodgson, 26, moved to Darwin from Melbourne to escape the never-ending lockdowns — only to find herself locked up in a Covid Internment Camp without even having the virus.

She’s just returned from a 14-day detention at Howard Springs, the 2000-capacity Covid camp outside Darwin to which regional Covid cases are transported by the authorities. In an exclusive interview with Freddie Sayers, she recounted her experiences.

Hodgson tells the story of uniformed police officers coming to her residence and taking her away:

HAYLEY HODGSON: The police officers blocked my driveway, I walked out and I said, "What's going on, are you guys testing me for COVID? What's happening?"

They said, "No, you're getting taken away, and you have no choice. You're going to Howard Springs. You either come with us now, and we'll put you in the back of the divvy van. Or you can have the choice to get a 'COVID cab.'"

So of course I chose the COVID cab. Because they said, "Well, if we're to take you, we're going to hand you a $5,000 fine."

So of course, I didn't want that to happen. So I just said, "Look, I don't consent to this. I don't understand why I can't just self-isolate at home, like a lot of other people are doing."

And they just said, "We've just been told from higher up where to take you. And that is all there is."

The US government couldn't make people wear their masks down at the Walmarts during the height of the pandemic. They are not gonna gather up people in "covid camps" now.

Currently unvaccinated US citizens without the "Hawaii state approved" negative test results, flying into HI. from the mainland, have to sign a paper saying they will self quarantine for 10 days upon return to their home island. Failure to sign the paper results in an immediate $5,000 fine (sound familiar? See OP.) and one year in jail. An acquittance (military) said he had police show up at his home multiple times during his quarantine to verify he was there. A daily check in via an State of Hawaii website is mandatory.

IMO Hawaii is their petri dish. It was used to test acceptance of mail in ballots and now this? There was another thread of a Democrat legislator wanting to restrict air travel to those with vaccine passports.

Watch Hawaii. This may be coming to the rest of the US soon.

SmithJ, they did in many places. In addition, the only reason they didn’t in others places was because of conservatives, Christians, patriots and actual republicans. It took people like the folks here who said NO to the tyrannical road we are heading down because they know the end result. And we all know THEY haven't given up…. :kaid:

She didn't/doesn't have the option of relocating to another country or state....... some state borders are still locked until mid December (when my nieces can actually go visit their mum in another state). Darwin is a whole different world - compare it with the old west a bit, with some civilization, but a lot of "leave me alone". My daughter loved the place as that was her attitude when she worked there. It was hot and "independent" minded. So there are those who break rules or just actually get sick, and others have the misfortune to be connected in some way.

Rumors get around about "stay away from the camps" or you will be in trouble, but nobody knows the rules and Darwin will have a lot of bureaucrats compared to the population, who need to make sure they are being obeyed.

So her options are to find another job, move away when the border opens (sounds like she went there because her mother is there) or go on the dole...... like many others do. I heard that many of the people in the camp were aboriginals, who do not want vaccine, and don't trust the white many even since 1778.

The first covid death in Northern Territory, was a 78 year old aboriginal woman, non-vaxed, with underlying conditions on Dec 2, 2021. They managed to go 2 years and only one death!! But they do have Camps!!

I just finished chatting online with an old australian friend. In his case it is not realized how draconian and authoritarian it is to shut down EVERYTHING in a city just to do contact tracing. The thought process is not there that such an approach is a serious human rights violation. The reason they are going so extreme is that the public does not realize how badly they are being abused so the envelope keeps getting pushed. Problem is too many are going along with it unwittingly.
