WOKE WOKE: NO TIME TO DIE COULD LOSE $100 MILLION

The verdict is in on the woke final outing of Daniel Craig as James Bond. It is estimated to lose $100 MILLION dollars. I saw it finally and it really was a woke farce, full of PC based drivel, particularly turning Q into a homosexual playing dinner date, and that black woman "thing" running around as the new 007. Sheesh, well nuff said on that subject.

The America hating, Trump despising Jeffery Wright finally died, but I still can't stand him. The other bad guy left over from the last Bond outing, complete with his odious performance, lisping and all also died off mercifully. :jstr: And the current bad guy in No Time to Die was, even though I like him in other movies, was HORRIBLE.

My verdict is No Time to Die was a bloated mess ,THREE PLUS HOURS, full of pc drivel, woke crap and well just a farce.

Thanks User1911, since I have downloaded all the Sean Connery 007's and the two or three of all the rest. Basically, 007 is Sean Connery, a couple of Pierce Brosnan, and several of Daniel Craig's, but not his last two Spectre of No time to die.
All of Roger Moore's, Timothy Dalton, most of Pierce Brosnan is crap plain and simple. 007 is dead to me now and I will just have to settle for watching Sean Connery's and Never Say Never

Nolte: Woke ‘No Time to Die’ Could Lose $100 Million

JOHN NOLTE25 Nov 2021

No Time to Die, the latest in the James Bond franchise and the last (thank heaven!) of the Daniel Craig era, is looking at a $100 million loss.
The math works like this, per far-left Variety:
[T]he movie cost more than $250 million to produce, at least $100 million to promote and tens of millions more to postpone over 16 months. Insiders say “No Time to Die” needs to make closer to $900 million to break even, a feat that would have been realistic had a global health crisis not entirely upended the theater industry. As a result, the film now stands to lose $100 million in its theatrical run[.]
The studio says that’s “simply not true”:
“Unnamed and uninformed sources suggesting the film will lose money are categorically unfounded and put more simply, not true,” MGM spokesperson said in a statement. “The film has far exceeded our theatrical estimates in this timeframe, becoming the highest grossing Hollywood film in the international marketplace and passing ‘F9’ to become the highest grossing Hollywood film since the pandemic. With the PVOD release of the film already doing stellar home viewing business, all while continuing to hold well theatrically, ‘No Time To Die’ will earn a profit for MGM, both as an individual film title and as part of MGM’s incredible library.”
Regardless, the dishonest suck-ups at Variety are blaming the pandemic for Bond’s shortfall, which isn’t entirely unreasonable given that No Time to Die is indeed the top-grossing movie of the year worldwide. But I’m still going to argue that No Time to Die, which is a pretty lousy James Bond movie, hurt itself commercially, especially here in the United States.

On top of just not being very good, No Time to Die was repeatedly sold as a woketard entry in the franchise. Oh, look, 007 is a black woman now! and Hey, Sean Connery’s James Bond was a straight-up rapist, wasn’t he?

Only worry about what you can control!
Every single movie Hollywood turns out should lose $100 million, every time. If Conservative, constitutional believing people would just pull their money and refuse to support the woke crowd they would have no choice but to wither away. Even when they decide to straighten up because of money, we should continue to let them die a painful financial death. When they get on TV and slam every principal we live by, that should be the end of our support forever and a day.

Have not set foot in a movie theater in over twenty years. Have not rented/purchased a movie in over ten years. Cancelled cable over five years ago. Have never spent a dime on any online streaming services. The left-wing 'entertainment' industry that hates me and everything I hold dear will never get another penny from me.

First movie we’ve seen in years. DH and I watched and said they are telling us their plan to exterminate us. It was a horrible movie. We stayed only to watch what they think of us and their plan. Anti-white, anti-Christian, anti-heterosexual, anti-anything good. Killing off humanity with a planned deadly virus targeting certain DNA. Hmmm…

A sad state of the Bond franchise when Ana De Armas is the biggest talk of the whole movie (not that I am complaining about her) and not the action/last Bond with Craig.

I broke the movie into a 2 evening thing and after getting to the end (woke crap asside) I wasn't impressed at all, it was not a good bond flick and not to mention they literally ended it, 007 is James Bond , James Bond is 007, not someone else.

Screw Hollywad. We don't spend a penny in their theaters or even rent any of their dreck. What does our big screen TV digest? DVDs and even VHS tapes that we find in bargain bins or yard sales and sometimes classic movies we run through our computer/internet to the TV.

Everyone should still have a VHS player. There are tons of good movies and technical tapes out there for little or nothing. Some time back I scored a big box of VHS tapes on gunsmithing and hunting subjects for - if memory serves - a dollar. So what if the video quality isn't up to contemporary standards? If the subject matter is worthwhile, the video quality isn't that important. These days, even DVDs are dirt cheap.

For very little money, you can become your own entertainment mogul and leave the entertainment industry in the dust.

Oh, and speaking of VHS tapes, the night before Thanksgiving, we watched the movie Fail Safe (featuring Henry Fonda and Larry Hagman) on a VHS tape. That suspenseful and well-written film still holds up well after nearly sixty years. After a couple of minutes of watching it, we were absorbed by the film and completely forgot that we were watching an old VHS tape!

If Americans want movie heroes, try the movie “American Assassin.” The lead is far better than Daniel Craig ever was or could be. We don’t need, or want, clothes horses and fancy digs. Give us real men and women, not Hollywierd’s choices. James Bond? Hell no. Mouse guns? Hell no- something that starts out as a button size, and ends like a grapefruit on exit. What ever happened to the tough guy like Mike Hammer- in the books, not on TV? Those that yearn for a Bond, need to grow a pair, and get their hands dirty once in a while.

Stacy Keach played Mike Hammer on tv and was stoned on cocaine the whole time. Gave an interesting performance. :D
Same thing with Gil Gerard in Buck Rogers in the 25th century.:kaid::kaid:

Craig's coda will be an absolute flop. He did ok as Bond at the beginning, but he's a shrimp at 5'10". He got waked. He sucks now.

It is no accident that Hollywood is willing to kill off icons like Hans Solo, Luke Skywalker, Iron Man, and Captain America.

Even when it costs the studios hundreds of millions of dollars.

Latest word is that Indiana Jones 5 is being delayed for a year. All Star Wars live action projects have been put on hold.

Okay, how did you do that? Near as I can determine, you’d have to have an old-style tube TV in order to see the output of the player.

No, our TV isn't an old CRT type. It's a large, fairly recent Sony Bravia flat screen. First of all, we had to change the menu through the remote to include "VCR" as one of the choices. Then we had to put the VCR's output cables into audio/video ports on the side of the TV, immediately below the HDMI port. Obviously, I have no idea what TV you have or how it would be configured.

What??? You’re kidding right? We have one VCR hooked up to our large (1980’s) portable TV (the only ‘tube’ in it is the picture tube), another to the small digital flat-screen we keep in the kitchen, and a third connected to the big-screen ‘smart’ TV in our family room.

Pop you some popcorn and watch an old Busby Berkley musical or some Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers and you'll be much more entertained. Invite the kids or grandkids since they've probably never seen them and maybe they'll gain an appreciation of what good film-making is all about.

No, just the movies. The TV shows are still coming out soon, with more in production.

Ian Fleming wrote about 5 or 6 Bond stories but you can only 'reimagine' a story so many times
I've given up on new Bond movies so won't see it till its on some service.

Making the next Bond something other than a Connery or a Craig is the kiss of death to the whole idea.

I bet Craig is mightily pissed at how the producers screwed up his swan song & payday
As to his legacy ....
