People are telling me that tomorrow windows Xp won't be stable and I need to upgrade. I guess I am lost and didn't know about this. Can anyone's tell me what this is about?

Your computer will still work today just like it did yesterday. Problem is as time goes by it will become more and more vulnerable to hacking and intrusion. If you continue to use the computer with XP then don't do anything with finances, credit cards, bill paying, checking your bank accounts online or anything like that. Reading your options from the other threads you can get a new computer, if your current one is capable enough upgrade to windows 7 or windows 8, or put a free Linux operating system on your current machine such as Ubuntu.

I wouldn't count on it. Microsoft patched vulnerabilities in the operating system continuously. You can bet that hackers are going nuts right now trying to find and exploit new areas of the code and Microsoft won't be patching workarounds anymore. Much of the world's industrial and financial systems still use XP as well as many end users so it's going to be a lucrative market. XP will still work just find. However if you want to protect your data don't connect an XP machine to the Internet any more and if you do you better not do any online purchases, bill paying or even looking up your bank accounts on it. Options are to upgrade to a newer Microsoft operating system, put a free Linux operating system on your computer and do all your sensitive stuff on that system or purchase a new computer. XP first came out in 2001 and it's functionally obsolete.
