The best way to eat Brussels sprouts is roasted in butter, lemon, a little garlic and lots of crumbled bacon!

The best way is to shove em in your pocket when Daddy and Momma ain't looking and feed em to the hogs after supper

My mom made this horrid dessert made with white rice and raisins.

I like rice and I like raisons but each by themselves

I loved that dessert.
I hated hamburger rice casserole.

My Grandmother would make that all the time, I loved it! The worst would without question is beans w/ham bones.

Yea I don't care for them much. Although my SIL roasts them in herbs and they are ok.

Sad thing is they grow them right over the hill from me. Go up and over the coastal mtns, you come down and you hit Hwy 1, Calif Coastal Hwy.

Go either direction, north or south on Hwy 1 and when you get out of town you start to see fields of Strawberries, Artichokes and Brussel sprouts. Took an uncle on that route, pretty soon we saw a beach parking lot right next to a field of Brussel Sprouts. We walked along the field's edge looking at the plants and their habit. Interesting for him having worked on the family farm as a kid.
