This morning we got 12 trees from the Arbor Day giveaway! Three spruce in damp peat? plugs, the rest are dry sticks...LOL! Silly me, didn't think to ask, but we won't be able to plant them until Monday and not sure how to store them until then. Thinking of wrapping damp paper towels around the spruce plugs & putting in plastic bags. The rest...just leave them dry? Put in water? Damp towels? Or......?
Doing searches, it sounds like it might be all right to let them just sit outside where it's cool for today, then tomorrow put them in water in preparation for planting Monday.
