What is the big deal if elections are cancelled?

Well, there's the little matter of shifting from a constitutional republic to a totalitarian/ authoritarian regime with no accountability. YOU may not see the necessity of democratically elected representatives, but the emergence of a 'President for Life' would turn me into a revolutionary.

We are well down the road of Facism as we speak.
Facism is defined as the Government owning the Major Industries.
We have an inverse form of that now, where the Captains of Major Industries are now running the Government, and who benifit from that arrangement.
The Patriot Act I was passed without ANY congressman or senator READING the bill. What ever happened to Due Dilligence? Is that what we really want, a congress that doesn't question the usurption of our rights?

Wait a minute...if the U.S. Government goes to code red and the elections are not held then Bush will still be our prez.

Frankly, It doesn't matter if the fedgov cans the election and Bush wins big due to say, New York City, Filthydelphia, Chicano Town, San Fagcisco, or Los Azatlan voters not getting to the polls, and the respective States going Republican. All you Bush haters will still be whining and crapping about how unfair, manipulative, scheming, etc., etc., that the evil Bush allowed the election to go forward.

If the elections are cancelled/postponed, it will only be because of terrorist activity, so I HOPE and PRAY there will be no need for the elections to be cancelled or postponed.
Even IF there is a postponement (Please God, no), there will eventually be an election within a few months because the American People wouldn't stand for it.
