The sauce is made from a secret recipe akin to chili sauce, meaty, spicy, tangy, almost sweet. And messy too. For this reason the Texas Hot has many unsavory nicknames including scummers, slime dogs, and crappy canoes, among others. Practically every mom and pop type Greek diner and greasy spoon in Buffalo has their own variation on this recipe. Some of the best include Zorbais, Nicks, Niagar Streetis sadly defunct Georgeis and SoBois legendary Seneca Texas Hots located just this side of Buffalois border with West Seneca (Slime on the Line!).
