Has No Life - Lives on TB
Just got finished with cleaning out our wood heater and stove, plus cleaned both flues. That's a job I hate every fall. Cary did most of the work, but cleaning the heater and stove inside the house makes a royal mess in the floor. I had to sweep and mop. It's all done now, and Cary is finished with all the firewood. We now have a bit under 9 cords of wood under roof. We have several 5 gal buckets that we use to pick up dried pinecones in. We keep those full for firestarters. They have all been filled up. The box for my stove wood has been filled, too.

I guess we have everything ready for winter to begin.

I've still got green beans on my mind. I think its because its something we use fairly regularly and I didn't keep track of it. How much do I really use, none this week, I didn't make another batch of soup (still have some in serving size containers in the freezer). Plus I really haven't cooked all that much this week.

So I just opened a box from w/m with two cases of green beans in the box. These were sold in a case lot, so they are nice and plastic wrapped and they are the smooth top and not the pop top. I've got 4 more cases coming, so my supply is getting close to the amount I want on hand.

I tried a can of great value chicken and wild rice, little bit larger can. It was recommended on a utube channel I watch. Its not particularly good, it was more white rice than wild and the chicken was rubberie. The broth was tasty though, although I would not want to eat it cold.

God is good all the time

Rural King was the stop today. Nobody seems to have any butane. I bought two twenty pound bags of hardwood pellets as backup fuel for my rocket stoves. Also got a pair of jeans and two Bear Creek potato soups. They were $2.99 each. The baby chicks were cute and I spent a lot of time watching the different bins. Helped with my blood pressure

I had forgotten that when DH went to Sam’s this week that he also bought a pack each of Members Mark toilet paper and paper towels, he said he didn’t notice a sign for the t.p. but the paper towels were 1 only per customer and that was also the only brand they had.

He is planning on getting the outdoor wood furnace cleaned, flushed, etc. for the heating season in the next few days. I’m hoping to get some canning done this coming week since we have the week off. Little granddaughter has not been feeling the best this past week and has been sooo cranky at times that we’re definitely ready for a break!

All my orders came! Dh is set for clothing for awhile and I got everything put away. Going to lie down with the directions for puppy's shock collar and see if I can figure it out.
I got a letter from work, and I was scared to open it because I thought they were going to cut off my pension. No --- they were begging me to come back! I wish I had the nerve to write obscenities all over it and return it but I need my pension.

The trip today was to the flea market in a local small town. I had not been since covid hit. There were some changes, but I was able to find butane canisters. I also found various other helpful little things, like tons of different sewing needles, really cheap. I consider today's trip a success.

I also wore my new jeans from Rural King and liked them very much. At only $9.99 a pair, I will be going back for several more pair to stash away.
