MARANTHA!! Even so, come LORD JESUS!!!
I finally managed to get back to a spot where I thought I saw mulberry trees a couple of years ago. They are mulberries, and there are a lot of them. It’s down along the river, and it doesn’t appear that anyone has been down there. Used to be a homeless encampment in that area, so I made hubby go with me, but we didn’t see anyone. Picked a couple of quarts of berries, no more til I figure out what I want to do with them. Has anyone made jam with them?
Oh!!!
Mulberries are GREAT for jelly. And cobblers, and pies and muffins and any other thing you want to use them in for fruit!! I have now found 4 mulberry trees on my property but they are only about 10 feet tall or so. They only are bearing a few fruit currently, but I am nurturing them! The trunks of the trees are maybe 3 inches thick, like I said, still small trees.

I have never made jam out of mulberries, too many other delicious things to make with them!!

Now I am hunting for a Paw Paw tree on my land....they grow wild all around here.

Praying for you also Moldy!!

Thanks, hiwall - I'll give that a try!

I'm keeping my eye on some honey locust trees here on the farm - I want to collect the pods when they are ready. Of course, then I'll have to go figure out which of Kathy's stories I read about using them...
