Tip WD-40

Great Northwet

So I fell asleep in the new recliner awhile back and the bowl of chili hit the floor upside down. I finally realized the mess almost 7 hours later.

I bought Resolve and scrubbed the sh## out of it to no avail. Now 8 months later I read some clickbait thing about all the uses of WD'40 besides the intended uses.

So I tried it out this afternoon. I just did a light spray over the area and scrubbed with a brush like before-8 months ago- it just disappeared. I put a few ounces of water on it thinking it was a bleaching agent, then put some paper towels on it and stood on them. The towels soaked up all the beige/brown.

Several hours later I'm posting because like ServPro says "Like it never happened"

So it worked.

I'm posting here because I think it's the right place for it. Mods move it if you need to.

It's a good solvent, but not too aggressive.

Works for sticker goo and getting grease out of your hands also.

A guy told me he used it to mask the fish smell on his hands when he would sneak off to go crappie fishing and his wife wanted him to do something.

OTOH, it is not a good lubricant.
