Occupied China didn't inflict more IJA casualties than the PI?
The (unarmed) Chinese were pretty busy dying themselves by the million. They did get some payback, however. You can see some numbers at Second Sino-Japanese War - Wikipedia if you want.
I got interested in OSS Detachment 101/202 when I was still working and learned a little bit about the AO from that. It was a bloody mess.
The guerrilla movement seemed to me to make more headway in the PI than in China. I could well be wrong. Maybe the PI guys just got better press. Oh, and Macarthur was a dick about actually helping the guerrillas, too. As he was about so much else ... the guerrillas were pretty much left on their own .
