Have to say I had to go look up what a Moon Pie was. Not heard of them before. We have something like them called a Joe Louis or Wagon Wheels. but they are the sort of heavily processed lunch box snack cake on par with a twinkie... not very nice.

I had one many years ago........one was enough. LOL
The only "junk" cake like treat I like that is those tiny cinnamon rolls that use to sell for .50 a dozen. I've been known to unroll them and put butter on 'em.

Thanks for adding to my reading list. I am only 70,000 books in the hole.

That's good though - when you tell someone you're too busy to do something, you won't be lying. ......

Everytime I find a new catalogue of work to read, I go buy another card of readers; don't want to wind up like the character in Twilight Zone's "Time Enough at Last" episode. Worked so far. .....

Interesting take on the human condition.

Paws fiction site family safety nets, BOLs, like minded individuals and MAG groups. This story is a reminder of how easily human bonds can break and how hard they are to repair once trust is broken. Sometimes the breaks can be mended to some degree, but not forgotten. Only the stupid forget a betrayal or betrayer, especially if it's: "For their own good." or because "They know best.".

This story is as good as Calgon. Remember the old bath stuff that the ad said "Calgon, take me away"? Well, we have a dog who has met stinky le pew twice now in less than a week and she absolutely stinks. She got her hydrogen peroxide bath tonight so hopefully that helps. Her 'mom' will keep her in mom's bedroom tonight so I won't be smelling her. Anyhow, your story made me absolutely forget that we have that to deal with tonight. Thank you buckets!

I had hoped to get something up today but I got slammed with work after getting Mom home from the doctor. But a praise report. The doctor went ahead and gave her two shots (for her back and a "bursa" whatever that is) when by rights the insurance will only pay for one. The doc said he'd absorb it an not to worry about it. It totally made the drive to Ocala from Tampa worth it. Mom is relatively pain free for the time being. The shots she gets for pain relief last from 2 to 3 months so these should get her through my daughter's wedding and through Mother's Day I pray.

Well, this is only the 10th? 11th? time I've checked here today, but am happy to see a posting from you, Kathy! Even if it wasn't a chapter (or four), at least it was nice to hear that you are okay. Very glad to hear about your mom!! I'd LOVE if I could get a shot to take away my pain, even if only for 2-3 months!! Good for your mom! And thanks for all the writing you do and for checking in.

By the way, everyone else....thanks for making me look over. and over. and over. and over. and....... LOL!

Bursa is the lining around joints, when it gets inflamed fluid gathers there and restricts joint movement and causes pain. At least that is how my doctor explained. I did some physical therapy when I had it. I bet a medical person here can explain it more correctly than I can.

It is the protection from bone on bone rubbing and can also erode away causing pain during movement. (Don't ask me how I know...) :(
