Trump to take handful of executive actions on Day One: transition

ReutersJanuary 18, 2017

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President-elect Donald Trump may take four or five executive actions on Friday, the day he is sworn into office, spokesman Sean Spicer said.

"He's got a few of them probably in the area of four or five that we're looking at for Friday," some of them logistical, Spicer said Wednesday at a news briefing. "Then there are some other ones that I expect him to sign with respect to a couple of issues that have been high on his priority list."

Spicer did not elaborate. Trump had promised to take executive actions immediately after taking office to counter some of the policies of Democratic President Barack Obama.

< Yes, I do look like that.
I don't recall ever having heard of an incoming US President having done as much before being sworn in as this one has, and to start day one of the new job getting crap done is actually pretty admirable.

From what I'm given to understand, Trump is a workaholic and thrives on getting things done. He takes very little to no vacation time (unlike the soon to be ex-president). he also seems to be able to multitask and to change gears in minutes. He will probably be running his staff ragged!

Probably why they'll kill him sooner than later. Hope not though.

The most impressive thing to me is how much he seems to thrive on his self-imposed regimen.

Hope he can continue to hang in there.

I heard the same thing about Martha Stewart, and that they both only sleep 4 hours a night, which gives them plenty of time to work, the two moguls actually have a lot in common.

most billionaires sleep only 4-5 hours a night, it's how they're wired.

Me too. I would be shocked/surprised if he didnt do this before 1 PM tomorrow

27 more hours....

The border patrol union supported him in a large way.

He probably assigned a team to work things out with them shortly after the election, sorting out the details of what they can do with a quick signature.

I wonder how much of the "do not arrest, do not deport" position from zero was verbal?

Some of this might be already in place, just waiting for him to swear in...no signature needed.
