How do you know what to set your thermostat? Easy, during the summer ask a household member that doesn't pay utility bills what temperature they want to set the thermostat to, that is what you set it at during the winter. During the winter ask them again and that is what you set it at during the summer.

68F in the winter, 78F in the summer, and no one to contradict me--the dog's too short to reach the thermostat.
