I've been reading Kathy's blog and came over here to read her completed stories. Wouldn't you know it, the first one I picked wasn't finished.

As to what her cookies were, they also could have been molasses cookies, it even could have been made with locally grown sorgum. Sugar could have been from locally grown sugar beets.

Now my "Death by Chocolate" cake. Place a large chocolate bar in the freezer, the darker the better. Add a package of chocolate pudding mix to a chocolate cake mix and prepare as directed. Pour half the batter into a prepared bunt pan. Remove the large chocolate bar from the freezer and break into pieces. Put the pieces on the batter in the pan and pour the rest of batter on top. Bake as directed. Remove from pan and when completly cooled, drizzel with chocolate syrup.

"Her name is Mother Hen and she has been missing for months.... I mean she will make a message here and there but she has not wrote anything for SO LONG on her stories..... and well she is such an awesome.....
(unknown) .... writer! We just cannot seem to find her and (unable to translate) .... stories ..."

Ma'am this is 911 for emergencies only, what is your emergency?

"I'm trying to tell you! Mother Hen is missing! she hasn't written on her stories for a long..."

Ma'am, who is this Mother Hen? And what do you mean "stories"?

"ugh! she is Kathy and she writes stories....but not just any story, GOOD stories..... and she hasn't..."

Ma'am do you know you can be arrested for making false emergency calls?

"But this IS an emergency, you don't understand how many....... (translation impossible due to intense crying of person)......... people are addicted....... (unknown) ..... WHY WON'T YOU HELP ME????"

Ma'am, I'm terminating this call, I'm sending the police to the location on caller ID....

YOU HAVE TO HELP.......................................AHHHHHHHHHHHHH.....

(quiet sounds of weeping and sirens can be heard)

Kathy it sounds like Kai is getting desperate. We appreciate your stories and the suspense is.... well dang. So all Leeda has to do is find her way home with group of orphans thru hostile territory, find good homes for said children, set up an underground rail road for future children who may be abandon, stop a religious war, nurse the sheriff back to health if he is still alive and toss (hopefully) in a few more yummy recipes? Piece of cake. Right?

Hope to see a new chapter soon for Kai's sake.

Its okay Kaij... when they get you settled in your padded cell, they'll send along a candy striper to read you one of Kathy's other stories...

Tckaija is right. Great piece of art Kaij! If Kathy is tied up right now and being sat on by tenants, we'll have to ask you moar...

I escaped the padded cell this morning. :) I'm hiding out at the Burger King in the next town.... it's a bad part of town, I'm surprised they have wifi.... but they won't come here and look for me.... hehehehehe

Even more importantly McYucky's has a kids playground and newspapers... Only place you get to read one... SO its full of old people having a coffee meeting, baby brained mothers and those looking at the view... It has WiFi too so escape the King and follow Ronald...

but I LOVE BK's crossandwichs!!!!! and their coffee is Seattle's Best!!! The only two things I like at Ronald's place is the Big Mac's (and only if fresh) and their egg McMuffin! Which I rarely get fresh!!

I actually got kicked out though.... so I'm sitting outside in the alley where I'm stealing someone's wifi....

Anybody have a bus or can get one cheap? A bunch of us can load up and Go to Tampa! We can work on her appartments, tend her orchard, clean her house, and work in her yard. Anything to get her back to her keyboard!!!!

I love her stories, too, but I have to forgive her for taking time off. I can't seem to get any writing done in the busy part of garden season either. :hof:

I'm really hoping this story isn't going to die. I think there is really a ton of good writing in it and would like to see where the story ends. The Sheriff really needs to ride in and save the day here, my life really won't be complete until I see that he does.

Well, according to Kathy's very first post in this thread, the story is completed, but she is posting it in chunks. So whatever is going to happen is already written. You just have to wait to read it. Enjoy!

Just to let those of you who are interested that the story is being finished over at the blog. I read up to chapter 102 and went to bed wondering if that was it.... happy to wake up today to the last chapter! Thank you for your dedication to this wonderful story. I loved how everything would up. Looking forward to more stories (but take a nap this afternoon)

Definitely different than most of your work.

A bit creepy about the dark Friars for sure.
