The Election of Obama

It is a noble and wondrous thing that this great nation, although regretfully once a participant in the appallingly ugly business of slavery was able, after years of grueling struggle and immense progress, to freely elect a man to its highest office who, if he had been born at an earlier time, would most likely have lived here in servitude.

Yet it is a dreadfully bitter irony that this same man - as a direct result of his calculated actions and policies, along with those who share and promote his anti-American, pro-socialist ideology - has set America on a course opposing liberty, enslaving her citizens with increasing dependence and bondage to government, and has greatly contributed to and if re-elected, may preside over the final stages of the decline and fall of the very nation that created the possibility of his accession. --- Donner9x

But much of the struggle of mankind through the ages has been directed against itself. This nation was an exception in that the founders recognized the Maker given rights and abilities of its citizens. It's only in the rise of a Gibsmedat culture, which is a direct offshoot of our own success as a nation that this situation of intentional overlook has been allowed to be created.

But fear not. This horse is still optimistic for mankind. John Galt was a fictional character, and a genius. Almost superhuman in his abilities. Most of you are not like that EXCEPT you all have the same spirit. The Maker given spirit is superhuman - after all it was given to you by a God who is superhuman and you are made in his image - even if the physical tools your particular spirit has to work with may be limited.

But society's game will change from the way it has been played. And the game will keep changing at the whim of the leader, whoever he may be. No longer will the government strive to be fair and equitable. Obama has freely admitted same. So one's public face will be that of Sgt. Schultz of Hogans Heroes fame.

"I know nothing."

But there will be a background economy. And barter. And time beyond the mandated 10 hour a day 6 day a week workweek for one's "extra governmental activities." A 60 hour workweek WILL be mandated as the efficiency of ANY government sponsored and mandated employment will be minimal. As will the standard of living derived from this employment. But, by golly, you'll all be EQUAL.

Welcome to the new "Dark Ages." But this is life as it will be in a playing field with no incentive, other than the government's decree and edict.

Why work hard if it only benefits others? And the change to our culture has only just begun. Porch seating will be in high demand as you all morph into a Gibsmedat exterior even if your interior remains resolute.

You homesteaders and farmers and mechanics and survivalists will have to learn to keep "grey." If you do not then the government will find a way to tap into you. And by doing so, you will lose even more independence.

Hope for better, prepare for worse.

Fine. We've had our first Black President. Now can we possibly get back to issues? Judgeing people by the content of their spoken destination-of-prefference, their presentation of how they're going to get there . . . and how congruent that is with their voting and/or work record?
