My kids, 19 and 17, don't have a membership here, BUT they ask me what the latest news from the site is almost daily.
But yeah NOT many youngsters around here.
Sad. It will be mostly up to us.

I’m 48. Member here since I was 30! Lurked before that! Someone over at the old Syzygyjob site (Jim Berkland earthquake) posted a link here for somethin prior to Y2k, IIRC.

It sucks getting older.
I went to the urgent care on monday for high blood pressure. 229/117 (and the doctor said I was fine to wait 3 hours so back in the waiting room with the coughing sickos I went).
Anyway. The triage nurse asked if I was still menstruating. !!! I looked at her like she had 2 heads for about 15 seconds until it dawned on me what she was asking. :xpnd: Wow I didn’t realize how old I was getting! Guess I’m going to be heading into a new phase of life soon.

This thread caused a light bulb of realization to go off in my pea brain today. I'm now closer to age 70 than 60! Oh my gosh. How did it go by so fast?

Around here we used to giggle (kindly o' course!) at those who were coy about their ages, but I'll be darned if I didn't hear myself just a while back claiming I shouldn't make a career change in my own "late middle ages" :: rolls eyes at self :: That may indeed be a time in HISTORY, but taint in the human lifespan, we decided. So, I was tickled to see that by this poll, at least, I am indeed exactly in the middle of the middle column, so theoretically, haven't even hit "late" yet. THANK YOU! :jstr:

Anyway, been around a long time myself, and try to never let a chance to acknowledge the great gift some posters, like GOATLADY, (may good lord rest her generous and gracious soul!) bestowed upon me. Thanks to her and those like her on the various sites, I was able to hit the ground running with my own flocks, foundation stock, and herds, and still am ridiculously lucky to find them exceptionally healthy n easy keepers. You could pay good $$$ and not get the quality of education, or educators, that I've received here! <3

I am in the top three I am pretty sure. December of 1997. Ed Yourdon, the founder, reached out to me. I had taken many of his software development courses over the years.

Night Driver goes back, as does Helen. That's all I can think of, right now. I thought that Flint came back under at different name at one point, but I might be wrong.

Added: I'm wondering if Old Git has passed, now that I'm thinking about original members.

Hey, maybe we can put together a spreadsheet with all the members' ages overlaid with how many posts they had, overlaid again with their region of residence...
