OK, I just checked my real Southern cookbook. It is a Junior League recipe of an Alabama county given to me by a good friend. If you want, I can type out the recipe. Its a lot like a pumpkin pie, but it has a few differences from pumpkin pie and it does suggest using canned sweet potatoes over cooking sweet potatoes and putting them through a ricer. The difference is this recipe has butter, lemon juice and brandy or sherry in it. I haven't tried it so don't know how good it is.
