If anyone does an order I need to about 6 buckets.
So I'd like to piggy back on your order.

I will call them and ask if we can do drop shipments.
If they can then things will work out quite nicely.

On this subject does anybody know where to get the oxygen absorbers and moisture absorbers that come with long term packaged food?

I have some buckets that I packed before Y2K & I didn't use any oxygen absorbers or desicants and the stuff is still fine.

www.Honeyvillegrain.com $5 for s&h for the entire order.
Their d.fruits are really good, most have no preservatives, the bananas are sugar coated. All are yummy.

Nuthatch:

When you need 20+ buckets, that just does not do, plus you need to pay the freight.

I've bought the gamma seals and really do like them, BUT, you then need to supply a bucket. So you're now $17 into the mix. If you just a few then this is the way to go. I can get the buckets locally cheaper. so that is a good option. And the Gamma Seals are nice for when you have pre-packaged buckets. Be sure to use a rubber mallet and GENTLY put them on.

Don't forget to use a mylar bag, and I can't remember where I got those.
Walton Feed has them.
The clear mylar will work just fine, but the metalized/aluminized ones are better for well light places.

see my website on how to seal the bags. www.ofuzzy1.com

Again use a rubber mallet to install the gamma seals on to the buckets.

You need to figure the price point... I figure it is about $11/per bucket doing the following. If you need less than 16 you're in the price point to go this way.

Over that you should buy them from Immark, see the top post.

Someone pointed out that, you can do a better deal with the gammas ordered from www.sportsmansguide.com and join their club for even a better price.
IIRC They charge < $20 for freight.

You can sometimes get free buckets from the grocery or bakery. Then you really get a head price wise.

Buy WHITE buckets from walmart or homedepot @ <$5 each.
Be sure they are FOOD Grade.
